Booked this hotel for a 3 night stay in May, turned out to be a good choice. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the young concierge whose name unfortunately escapes me. free wifi and very convenient central location near to subway, Penn station, Macys, Empire State etc. 8 blocks from Times Square but away from main bustle of the city... I stayed one night here while in town on business. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Penn Station and less than a 15 minute walk to Times Square. The hotel looks like it had recently been refurbished with contemporary decor, a nice little bar and comfortable bed in a typical NYC smallish room. The bathroom was all new... More

on arrival we were informed that they required an incidentals payment of $100 per night in case we had anything to eat or drink in the hotel. i had not been informed of this prior to booking nor was it in plain sight on their website or anywhere to be seen on any third party booking site, i have since... Service was superb, pay a little more and get a large room with a partial view of the East River. Rooms are larger than others at this price. I asked for a room near the top. Quiet. I'd love to stay there again. Very popular. Book early.

Great room and location at a great price, especially for NYC. The hotel staff were friendly and responsive. My only complaint is the small size of the lobby and limited selection of the hotel restaurant for breakfast, especially for the price. My mom and I ended up at McDonalds down the street instead..... I would definitely stay here again.

I booked a 40th birthday trip for 6 ladies here and as soon as we walked in we were happy. It's a few walkable blocks from Penn Station. Our room was ready for early check-in and the hostess was pleasant and friendly. Our family room was spacious for 6 women with lots of luggage!! The room is modern and trendy... More

This is stated to be a 4⭐️ but I would say 3⭐️. Positives-- our room was clean, spacious quiet. Neutral-- staff were nice but over worked. One person to check people in answer the phone check people out and answer questions of existing guests. Negatives-- we requested a fridge in our room our first day. We were told one would... More

Less than a 5 min walk from Penn station, great if your flying into Newark. The hotel itself is quite simple compared to other Midtown hotels, however our bed room was clean, the bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing :-). There is free wifi , a free safe and a coffee machine. No point in having a... More

Stayed here in December for a week. Location is very good as it is a 10 minute walk to Times Square and Bryant Park. Good range of food nearby and also a Walgreens in the vicinity. Subway entrance is also on the same street. Service was overall helpful whenever we requested for some additional amenities. However, some things that can... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
