We stayed at the City Club Hotel for the express reason of seeing Manhattan before my daughter returned home to Bangkok via JFK airport . We parked across the street in a garage that charged us $45 us per day but $20 more for my full size pickup , still nice and secure in the high rent district . The... More

So everyone talks about the location, yes the location is perfect, but so is the location of other chain hotels which provide a much better atmosphere and location. So my trip was great! I got to the hotel at 7am, check in isn't until 3pm. Bell man at the door was so nice. James was nice too at the front... More

We stayed at this hotel for NYE 2014. It was the perfect location for everything. It sat between 5th Ave and times square. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere, but taxis were constantly coming by the hotel as well. The only thing this hotel was missing was a gym. But, it was a boutique hotel so, we knew... More

Decided to stay here for a quick overnight stay on our way to Boston and have been pleasantly surprised. Parking is right across the street, the staff is pleasant and helpful, room was bigger than expected, decor is nice and the place is clean. The location is great, close to Time Square and plenty of great places really close. Will... More

Location is great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Entrance is easy to miss. "Lobby" is more like a hallway, doesn't matter at all though - rooms were comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Stayed at the City Club hotel the week of Thanksgiving. The location was perfect, right around the corner from the Macy's parade, walking distance to many attractions, but out of the Times Square craziness. We are a family of 5 so it can be hard to find a room that fits us and isn't too cramped. We splurged on the... More

Cute, boutiquish, nicely decorated room, stocked mini bar in midtown. Good value for money. Perfect location for Christmas season or other time. Attentive staff. Good room service menu and good adjacent restaurant. Quiet rooms. The ultimate touch are fresh cookies when returning to room.

Had booked a single room, was upgraded to Queen on arrival, on 2nd floor. Great room, superb bathroom. Was on 2nd floor, room faces internal light well. Had read previous reviews so was not surprised at lack of view and air con noise, it's expected for a lot of NY places. Didn't bother me at all. Finally, the staff were... More

The room was tiny even for the city. The "closet" also had the refrigerator and tray with drinks in it and was too short for my winter coat. In the same block there are at least three better alternatives, including the Sofitel, Iroquois, and the Algonquin. Not recommended. The staff people were pleasant, but it did not overcome the tired,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
