I stayed in NYMA for 2 nights and it was very nice. The beds were large and warm. The breakfast was FREE and delicious. I had a wide range of selection for breakfast. The staffs were friendly and helpful. This hotel was close to everywhere. 15 mins walk to Times Square and Rockerfeller Center, 10 mins from Penn Station, 5... More

We LOVED staying at the NYMA during our recent two days trip to NYC. My husband and I and my 12 year old son shared a double Queen room (single King rooms have the view of the ESB if you're intersted). The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was perfectly adequate. The rooftop bar was really cool. We went... More

Central for all major sites, round the corner from Empire State, Macy's, JCPenney,Urban Outfitters,Victoria secret, Kmart and about 10 minutes walk to Times Square and the Broadway. The only downfall was that they were only 2 lifts which sometimes took a long time in coming.

Dear soulla K, Thank you for sharing your experience. The lifts can get a bit held up during busy hours of the day. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We hope you will visit us again soon. Liz from Apple Core Hotels More

The hotel standard would have given 3 stars, but the fantastic location brings it up to 4. Reasonably priced, easy access to key locations in mid-town and adequate facilities for a short stay (TV with plenty of channels, coffee maker in room, own bathroom, decent bed and free Wi-fi). Only let down (also mentioned by others) is the stability of... More

Clean hotel. Free continental breakfast better than most. Rooms are a good size, big for NY. GreAt value. Great location. 2 blocks from Penn Station. Elevators are SLOW and be advised to stick to the max number of people. Rooftop bar looked nice but elevators out of service last night for a while so by the time we got settled... More

Excellent location!! The hotel was clean, great roof top bar! Jessica the bartender was awesome! Very nice continental breakfast. Our room looked up to the Empire State Building, which was amazing!! Only down side was the local restaurants put all their trash out on the side walk at the end of the night. (not the fault of the hotel) We... More

Dear Eileen O, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about the smell or trash on the streets, but we are part of a business improvement association that regularly requests restaurateurs to clean up their trash upon closing at night. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Liz from Apple Core Hotels More

Within walking distance of just about everything. Breakfast is included but not a big variety. Nice clean rooms at reasonable rates. Comfy bed. Would def stay again. Nothing bad to say except slow elevators. If you stay on a higher floor this could be an issue for you.

I loved our July 2015 stay at the NYMA! The room was comfortable, quiet, clean and you can't beat the location of the hotel. We had absolutely zero problems during our stay, the staff was always courteous and helpful and would definitely stay on the property again.

I've stayed at the NYMA several times while visiting NYC. I love the location in Little Korea, walking distance from Penn Station and nearby restaurants, stores and subway stops. But this time I felt that the hotel had gone slightly down hill. I slept in two different rooms during my stay (King and Twin), both too small to accommodate the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
