My wife and I stayed at the Library hotel for 5 nights for our 5th wedding anniversary. I can honestly say that it was one of the most fantastic hotel stays we've ever had. As well as the hotel being beautiful and in a fantastic location, the best thing about it is the staff. Friendly, informative and constantly going above... More

From the minute we arrived at The Library Hotel, we were welcomed by wonderful staff, Aman, Emily and Billy. Having booked for 11 nights we were relieved to see that our online research had paid off backed up by recommendation from a friend. In crazy subzero temperatures, in a city that is never quiet, it was a relief at the... More

I have stayed at The Library Hotel twice. My most recent visit was not a vacation but to take care of a family member who had surgery. The hotel staff could not have been kinder, more helpful, or considerate. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are very quiet and comfortable, the bathroom is very nice, and the hotel has extra... More

A delightful small hotel and well placed in mid town. The wine and cheese is an excellent idea and very popular, with unlimited Prosecco! Breakfast again surprised on the upside for quality and not too heavy. The key to all smaller hotels is the staff and they were absolutely faultless. We had a junior suite which overhangs Madison Ave so... More

We loved this hotel! The excellent service began before we even arrived, via emails with Justine who gave us great recommendations regarding things to do and places to eat in the area. As frequent travelers to NY we wanted to find some spots we hadn't been before and she delivered! The bed was extremely comfortable, the lounge with free breakfast... More

Stayed for 5 nights with my new husband for our honeymoon in NYC. We loved this hotel, it was the best part of our stay. We arrived really early on the morning of our check-in, before 6am. I was just hoping to have them check our luggage, but the front desk invited us to have coffee and pastries while they... More

We loved just about everything about this hotel. The decor is elegant but cosy and there is a lot of individual attention given to making sure each space is ambient and interesting, as well as comfortable. In particular we liked the lounge/breakfast room which was extremely comfortable and pleasant to spend time in. The location is handy for exploring Manhattan.... More

The Hotel's comfy guest rooms, and delightful common rooms provided respite from the frigid Manhattan February. Loved the convenience of the location. Staff was genuinely friendly and readily available. Ample continental breakfast was more than enough to start the day, and evening wine and cheese very satisfying.

We have never had a better hotel experience in NYC. The staff was so accommodating and helpful, the room was lovely with many thoughtful touches and the location couldn't be better. We loved the wine reception in the evenings, the breakfast was wonderful and they even let the kids take a book with them (they were delighted). We would stay... More

41st and Madison in midtown Manhattan is central to shopping, theater, dining, and museums but doesn't carry the noise or congestion of Times Square. Lovely, boutique hotel with an attentive staff providing many personal touches. Very warm and welcoming environment in the lobby, public areas, and guest rooms. Complimentary upscale continental breakfast, wine, assorted cheeses, and crudites each evening, and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
