Again thanks to trip advisor we have had a fab stay in NYC staying at the library hotel , located on 41st and Madison. Stones throw from grand central and the library , this is a great small boutique hotel with a super team in charge. All day coffee and cake with a super lounge area to chill and email... More

Stayed here two nights in March 2015. The literary decor will make the bibliophile in you sing. Excellent service from check in to breakfast. Super location steps from the New York Public Library, Bryant Park, and Grand Central Station and a short walk from Broadway theaters. Our room was not large, but we slept soundly and heard absolutely street noise... More

The staff was very attentive without being overbearing, and it was a delight to chat with them about books and get some new recommendations. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was also fantastic - clean, comfortable bed and pillows, excellent amenities. I can't wait to stay here again. A must... Seems like all is already said about this hotel in the other reviews, it is good simple as that. One thing I feel the need to stress, theservice is quite good but whats more impressive is that the staff make you feel they care. The pajamas for your ears is a nice touch to eliminate the city noise. The two... More

Just got back from a six night stay at Library Hotel. This hotel is in a great location, close to many attractions. We had a king room on the 7th floor facing Madison Avenue. This was a little noisy, but we understand that NYC is the city that never sleeps. The hotel is very clean and the staff was very... More

I've stayed in NY a few times, mainly alone so not too fussed about comfort etc, but this time I took my wife as a present for her birthday and wanted a nicer quality hotel. I chose The Library and it was absolutely perfect! We spent 3 nights there and it far exceeded my expectations. The room was spotlessly clean,... More

My division (about 16 people) wanted to do an offsite meeting near our corporate office in Midtown, and Library Hotel came up as a unique place to stay. I did a room block through Ivana, in the sales office. Ivana was incredibly responsive, helpful and flexible. Due to a big winter storm, we had to cancel and rebook our entire... More

It's small even by NYC standards. But the hotel staff is great and the rooms or cozy and just right for relaxing after a hard day at work. Location is good,as are most Manhattan hotels. Plenty to do nearby and it was easy to get a taxi too.

We returned from New York two days ago and stayed here for 6 nights .. a fantastic hotel and we were delighted with our choice, from the moment we arrived. A smaller 'boutique' type, great location with Grand Central Station literally around the corner and exciting city views of busy New York life on Madison Avenue. Within very easy walking... More

We really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms are a little small but as we spent little time in it we did not see it as a major issue. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the freshly toasted bagels. Yes it was the same every morning and we choose to try a 'diner' experience for one breakfast but the food was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
