Great to have a terrace that looked out over Madison Ave and The NYPL. All staff were extremely helpful and the choice of books in the "foot of books" add-on was mostly great. We also enjoyed the library ambiance immensely.

Loved this hotel and would stay here again without a doubt. Service impeccable, location perfect and the breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese and roof top bar made it a truly special stay. Quite - never heard the city at night.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while I was in town on business. Everything was exceptional. The room was charming and clean. The complimentary breakfast was fine - not anything to write home about, but an easy way to fuel you first thing in the morning. The rooftop bar was a great perk, and not too crowded on a... More

I stayed at the boutique hotel for one night with my mom to celebrate my birthday and graduation. We were excited to stay here considering all the great reviews and we can certainly say it exceeded our expectations. The hotel was fabulous, the staff is one of a kind, and the amenities including the continental breakfast, wine and cheese reception,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Library Hotel 8 - 16 August this year. Although, I was in New York on business my wife spent the days sightseeing. We chose this hotel specifically after reading the many glowing Tripadvisor reports. It exceeded our expectations in nearly all respects particularly the friendliness of all the staff, the excellent breakfasts, all-day... More

The Library Hotel is our go-to hotel when we spend a night in New York City. It is conveniently located close to Grand Central Station but is on a quiet cross street. We have stayed in a number of rooms which are always clean and well laid out. Our only suggestion is to request a higher floor. The staff is... More

First visit to NYC Found this hotel on Trip Advisor. Fantastic place to stay. Centrally situated so good for sightseeing. Staff so helpful at all times.Super comfy rooms and quiet. Super breakfast, and particularly enjoyed the complimentary cheeses and wine and nibbles provided in the afternoons. Great idea so one can come back from busy NY city to oasis of... More

Spent a comfortable week during spring break. Good view down Madison Avenue from a corner room. Room and bath were acceptable in size. There was occasionally noticeable street noise and the blower for the heater/ac made a grinding sound when it first started up. Staff tried to fix blower but to no avail. The breakfast was very good and the... More

Visiting nyc with my mom who hadn't been there in 40 years. Front desk and breakfast room hostess could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Location was perfect. We had the mythology room on the 12th floor which had an awesome view of the nyc library and was extremely clean and comfortable. If I had to pick one negative... More

As a librarian I loved all the bookish touches that the hotel included. It started with the Card catalog behind the registration desk, then the embroidered pillows with reading quotes, the Dewey Decimal assigned rooms, the "Reading Room" that had tea, coffee and snacks 24 hours, it all added up to a wonderful experience. The rooftop bar is amazing with... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
