We had a great time at the Library Hotel. It is very well designed with communal areas in which you want to spend time. The staff were a delight. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the complementary wine and cheese.

We stayed her just before Christmas for 3 nights. It is perfectly placed for shopping and getting to all the sights. Our room was on the small side but we knew that when we booked, we slept well and found the bed to be very comfortable. The breakfast is great to start your day and the afternoon cheese and wine... From the moment I stepped into the lobby my time at The Library was exceptional. All the team members were very helpful and quite friendly. The ambiance was unique, cozy and warm. The service was wonderful at the rooftop bar as well as the breakfast. The room was very nicely appointed with high end touches. The location was central, close... More

Wonderful, small boutique hotel located in the heart of Manhattan. Close to transportation, restaurants, shopping, museums etc. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. The rooms are lovely and clean. A real gem!

This hotel is an oasis in Manhattan. The experience is wonderful. I went with my husband, sister and her partner as a birthday celebration. We hardly left the property. Our rooms were lovely, the Reading Room was a wonderful place to congregate, and we had dinner at the restaurant adjoining the hotel. It was restorative. Thank you!

Stayed 7 nights at this lovely hotel that is close to everything. 5 minutes walk to Grand Central Terminal, 10 minutes walk to Times Square, 3 minute walk to 5th Avenue, one can catch the M1/2/3/4 buses easily or choose the subway for all the popular tourist attractions. Before one starts another cold winter day, one gets to warm up... More

We have stayed at the Library Hotel many times, but this stay was even better than all the others. We usually stay in a Petite Room, but since we had 3 people in our group, we booked the Junior Suite. We were very impressed with the size of the room. We had a king bed and a pull out sofa.... More

I first stayed here on my own in 2006 and then went back in October, 2014 with my partner to introduce her to the hotel and all of its wonderful style and amenities. I cannot begin to say how wonderful the trip was and how frst rate all its facilities were and continue to be. Other hotels pale by comparison.

I have just returned from New York and was extremely pleased with our stay at The Library Hotel. We had a junior suite with a king bed and the room was absolutely fabulous. It was really spacious, with a small sofa, chair and living room table as well as wall to wall bookshelves. The bed was very comfortable with extra... More

We make it a point to stay at this lovely little hotel when we can. Rooms are compact and well-arranged. The location is great since it's away from Times Square, but not too far to walk. Breakfast, snacks, etc. Very generous. Plenty of good books to read if you like,

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
