I have just returned from two nights at the Hotel Chandler and I have to say that it is a wonderful hotel. I had a delux queen room that, while small, was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. As mentioned in other reviews the showr is fantastic and the Aveda bath products can't be beat. And, of course, the location is... more

My girlfriend and I spent 5 nights at this hotel during our first trip to NYC and were quite satisfied. As others have noted, the room was very small (just enough room to walk around the bed and to the washroom), but the decor was updated, updated, and classy. The A/C, included internet, and large TV made the stay very... more

If you need a place in the city JUST TO SLEEP, Hotel Chandler is the place. We arrived way earlier than expected and was offered 2 choices of available rooms. Staff very friendly and went above their call of duty for various questions pertaining to the city. One thing to mention is the room WAS vey tiny; but when you... more

I booked this reservation through Quikbook a few months in advance and got a very good deal for a Deluxe Queen room ($120/night). The hotel did not disappoint me. The public areas and rooms were tastefully appointed, well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly and professional. I have only a few minor complaints about the property--but wouldn't want anyone... more

The service, both by booking prior to our stay and at the hotel, was great and personal - something you rarely see nowadays. The concierge was fantastic and the room was clean, well designed and had wonderful Aveda goodies. Our room on the 9th floor was fab. In the city you don't expect amazing views but frankly it didn't matter.... more

We read numerous reviews of NYC hotels before picking one and were not disappointed with the Chandler; good price, clean room with ipod docking station, flat screen tv, free wi-fi and air con, big bathroom with walk in shower and bathrobes, easy walk to the Empire State building, Times Square, Macys and Grand Central station and will definitely be staying... more

With all the choices of hotels in NYC, it was hard to decide on one, but I went with the reviews. I agree that the location was great, staff nice, bed comfy; however, the room is REALLY small and ours (third floor - NOT RECOMMENDED) continually had a/c problems. We had initially been upgraded, but when we found the room... more

Booked this hotel from reviews only, was NOT disappointed. Rooms were not that small!! Bedding changed every day, everywhere you went in the hotel was clean. We stayed for 7 nights and after walking round NYC all day it was the perfect place to stay! Staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Also location was perfect, Empire State Building at... more

I read all the reviews before book in this hotel, and now I can say that every good comment was true. The hotel is great in all sense. The location was very good, just two blocks from the Empire State and very close to the metro station. I had a Deluxe King Room, and I can say that the room... more

Although I only stayed at the Hotel Chandler one night, I've been recommending to friends as an alternative to the chain hotel experience. Lovely (albeit) small rooms with generously sized bathrooms. Bathrooms feature a large tiled shower with great water pressure, Aveda bath products, and comfy robes that reach to the ankle. Bed and linens were clean and fresh. Good... more
