I just love staying at Hotel Chandler whenever we're in New York City. Standard rooms are small but they do have comfortable beds and pillows. The studio suite has a larger bed and a living room with a pullout sofa bed which is perfect for a family of three. Bathroom amenities including bath towels are of top quality material. The... More

Friendly staff and an excellent in house restaurant , Juni, more than make up for a somewhat tired decor. A free Mid Town walking tour with a knowledgable guide around neighbouring New York streets was a highlight for out of town visitors. The rooms are very quiet, clean well appointed and comfortable but do require a makeover as they are... More

The Hotel front desk staff was great. The rooms were in great shape and staff payed attention to every detail. Location in midtown is perfect. Only bad experience was in the hotel restaurant. Went fro breakfast the first day as recommended by staff. Wait staff in the restaurant was rude and uncaring. Never checked on the quality of the meal... More

I went to NYC to visit my daughter and chose the Hotel Chandler based on its location. What a happy choice! The staff is phenomenal. The room was clean & cozy. Despite it being hot & humid outside, the room was refreshingly cool. I usually have difficulty sleeping in NYC hotels, but not at the Hotel Chandler. It was quiet... More

Make sure that they know about your families needs. Apparently online booking sites don't convey this information and you may end up in a small room where placing luggage and crib is nothing short of playing Tetris but not a funny one

Centrally located away from the crowded theater district, but close enough to walk there or to a subway station. The neighborhood is, for Manhattan, quiet and out of the way. We have stayed there before and will do so again.

My second stay at the Hotel Chandler. Came to Manhattan to celebrate my sister's birthday and her inaugural visit to NYC. We stayed 4 nights and hated to leave the city; the stay at Hotel Chandler made it fun and easy. Perfectly situated boutique hotel in Murray Hill with easy access to uptown and downtown. Helpful staff, nice sized rooms,... More

All I really want is a clean comfortable bed with a quiet air conditioner in the summer mths. Hotel Chandler delivered that and more! Great friendly service in a luxury boutique style hotel. Location great if you want to be in between Meat packing district & timesquare.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
