We stayed here for 4 nights at the start if July. Great location, right beside the park and the time warner centre was excellent for picking up food for the park. The hotel itself is super funky without being pretentious. Yes the rooms are fairly small but our New York experience wasn't booked for us to stay in our room... More

I stayed here for four nights on a solo trip to NYC, and found it an excellent location. Size-wise, yes, the rooms are small. I booked a superior room and cannot imagine the standard. That said, it was perfect for one person, and I was very comfortable. The one problem is how awkwardly close the toilet is to the facing... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Hudson during our week in New York, and we loved it! We had previously stayed at the DoubleTree right on Times Square, but for a teenager, the Hudson is far better. It's a cool, hip place with lots of international families. There are many places to socialize and hang out, and the staff... More

These are the hotels that project the city in bad light. First thing first: the only great aspect of this hotel is its location - very near to Columbus Circle/Central Park. As we entered the lobby it felt that we were entering a $5 Halloween Castle - it was dark, dingy and you could not see the face of the receptionist... More

It's a lovely hotel and the decor is wonderful. The rooms are tiny. I mean really tiny. Like dollhouse tiny. It really wasn't an issue because all we really did was sleep there. I'd go back. The best part is probably the rooftop deck.

spent 3 nights in this hotel at the beginning of july before flying on to orlando with friends and family. i was very wary of staying here after reading lots of negative comments. i should not hve worried. there were 10 of us and we had 3 double double bedded rooms with 2 large comfortable double beds in each. we... I had booked a standard room for my husband and I for our 2 week stay in NYC. At checkin we were advised that our room was really small and we would go mad in such a small space for 2 weeks so they kindly offered us an upgrade, 2 grades higher, to a larger room for free! We were... More

Spent one night here on July 18. Front desk was awesome. They were not able to give me a room with two beds (I was with my mom) but they comped me up to a deluxe so we could bring up a roll away bed. The lobby is beautiful and funky. The rooms were beyond small. The deluxe room was... More

I stayed at the Hudson during 2 successive weeks in July, and based on my reading of other recent TripAdvisor reviews was able to negotiate an enhanced experience. Readers of the reviews will already understand that this hotel (apparently in a converted YWCA building) has very small rooms. One desk clerk explained this as "New York style rooms." That said,... As everyone has pointed out the rooms at the Hudson are unbelievably small .. I've stayed in hostels that have had bigger spaces. I realize that when in NYC you're only in your room to sleep but still .. this verges on craziness. On the other hand, the outside backyard space is AWESOME to enjoy a drink or a yogurt... More
