There is 20 $ extra facility charge per night that I wasn't made aware of till I came to the hotel and saw my invoice. The air conditioning in the room was making really loud sounds, both when its turned on and off!! It kept waking us up all night. We asked the hotel to repair it, apparently its 'normal'.... More

This hotel has been around for ages, BUT you don't notice it. We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and yes.... the rooms are tiny, but as we were here to discover NY and used it only as a place to sleep, eat, drink and be merry. Pleasant polite staff, great cocktails, interesting breakfast concept - the Lox Bagel... More

Best point - the position and lobby entrance The rest is garbage . Noise , small room even small like the one in Paris . Not clean, but I can not say dirty . Unpleaseant rooms , bad air condition . Small bathroom . And again noise from outside and noise from inside . Breakfast not on european styles .

I think the hotel website is a little errr creative in it's content. On the plus side location wise it's ideal for most attractions near to Central Park, although it doesn't overlook Central Park. Also I am sure I read somewhere the sky roof bar was open all seasons but it was closed when we were there! Other hotels had... More

I have stayed at the Hudson many times and I love the location, the energy and the "space" this hotel creates but mostly I love the staff. We are Platinum elite members with Marriot (who excels at customer service) and are used to be treated well. That being said the Hudson was extremely accommodating! We had all sorts of travel... I was super excited to visit New York a dream that finally came true!!! So I thought a decent hotel would add to the experience! Ive seen alot of reviews on here complaining about the size of the room... and all I wanna say is... what kind of person in their right mind wants to stay in their room while... More

My father and I, George recently spent 2 weeks in this hotel. Frankly, I will never stay anywhere else in NY. Everyone right from the beginning made us feel so welcomed and instantly satisfied. Jade at the front welcomed us and became a close friend as I imagine she does with everyone as she is just awesome and so genuinely... More

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for 3 weeks till we could find a place to rent. We chose this hotel considering the proximity of it to the Central Park, subway and the good reviews we read on Tripadvisor. The location is very good, close to the Park, metro station, lots of restaurants and some shops nearby. The... More

I really wanted to love this hotel - but I'm sorry to say our stay here was miserable and we couldn't wait to leave. On the plus side, the location of the building is great - very close to Central Park and the subway. The lobby looked as nice as it did in the pictures. Everything else was a bitter... More

Dear Smitch24, My apologies that for this visit you found Hudson to be less than what you have expected... in actuality we listen and care to understand and rectify fulfilling every guest request - I am sorry that we failed you somehow. Perhaps for the future (if I may suggest) our sister properties (Royalton and Morgans) can be a choice... More

Stayed for one night Jan 30-31, this was our second stay here, got an excellent deal on Hotels Tonight. Rooms are very small and the heat is a little difficult to set comfortably but for approximately $130 in Manhattan including a $15 bar/food credit it's hard to beat. Hotel has several bars, unfortunately the roof top one was closed for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
