We stayed here 10 years ago and swore we would never go back, the rooms are tiny and dark. It was the first hotel in 25 years of travel we have gone back down to reception and asked to be moved, (one more since). We looked forward to seeing how things had changed since 2005. Sadly they have not moved... More

Got a great deal with this hotel with breakfast. Read the reviews and was a bit worried but it was great. Location Location Location. You are a stone's throw away from Central Park and there's a Baked by Melissa's a few minutes away( on 8th Avenue I think) Ok yes the rooms are small and we were tripping over our... More

Great hotel if you are coming to the city to explore (and not sit in your room). Common areas and rooftop bars have beautiful décor. Fun place to stay. The front desk could use more staff- takes awhile to get any help or to check in. And the rooms themselves are extremely tiny. But if you plan on coming to... More

Okay, apparently this was only a secret to me. Typical NY boutique hotel. Nondescript on outside. Beautiful lobby, restaurant & bar. Compact rooms. That said, it was a great experience and just might be my "go to" NYC hotel. Room is small, but VERY clean, newly decorated very well spaced out. Perfect for a single. Doable for a couple. But... We had a great time in the big apple with our 4 kids. For sure The Hudson can take most of the credits. Perfect location, great ambiance and last but not least a very friendly staff. Yes, our affordable standard room could be a little bit bigger (to place our luggage) but who cares in a city that never sleeps......... More

Very modern, funky and boutique style! Very tiny rooms though but modern and clean. Great location. Popular bar with the locals. Great little pizza bar next door and right on the doorstep of central park.

I stayed at this hotel during a recent business trip to the NYC area. It is a great location, had several on property establishments to get a good drink and mingle, and the lobby is gorgeous. The only complaints I have are that there never seemed to be enough front desk staff to accommodate the lines of people effectively during... More

I had a terrible experience, when I arrived for business in the middle of the night instead of a calm hotel experience I walked into a loud, unruly atmosphere. After checking in, I was immediately alerted by my credit card company to a large, card-not-present charge- the incidentals, over $200 more than the hotel told me they were charging me... More

Didn't eat here but did frequent the 3 bars on the property. Rooftop a little tight but overall very neat and we'll organized. The only services I used in the hotel was actually the bell stand. The gentlemen were attentive, quick and on top of your needs. Would stay again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
