Very nice stay, small room but good use of minimal space. The airconditioning was like a jet engine (too loud) and we actually had trouble sleeping as it was too hot with it off and too noisey with it on. We absolutely loved the sky terrace on level 15. The service was excellent too.

This hotel property offers a nice retreat from the noisy streets of NYC. Dim lights, beautiful chandeliers, comfy seating, variety of patio/lounge areas all make Hudson a unique experience. The rooms, however, are very small. The bathrooms are almost nonfunctional. I do believe a cruise ship bathroom is larger! The elevators tend to do their own thing and take forever.... More

Bad - Sad - So Glad - to Check Out This is by far the WORST hotel that I have ever stayed in while visiting NY. We only stayed 2 nights and will ~definitely~ NOT stay there again. Our original room (standard) #766 was the tiniest, dingiest, darkest, and humid/hottest hotel room on earth (expected small - but this was... More

I've just been back to the Hudson for a long week end in NYC. This was my third visit and every time I'm back I'm still happy to stay at the Hudson. Very nice bar on a terrace on the 15th floor, nice rooms, small but very cozy, minimal interior design, all you need is there. The reception is really... More

Is an amazing Hotel/Hostel and I add the world Hostel in there because that is the feeling you get from it, pretty busy, lots of people, cool bar and drinks, parties, etc. If you backpacked back in the day it will remind you of some of those really cool hosts you visited. Has a great location only a couple of... More

The Hudson Hotel is at the top of its game. We had a beautiful summer weekend spending time on the Sky Terrace and outside in the Garden off the lobby. I have yet to see another hotel in NYC that has such a good summertime venue. But facilities aside, the people are what constitute ones experience at the Hudson. Friendly,... More

I was there for business & pleasure. The 1st night fine my 2nd evening (a Monday night) there was a "room party" in the room 2 doors down. The techno music started playing at 11 pm & got increasingly louder as time passed. One neighbor called to complain & even confronted the people going to the room... several times. I... More

Loved it! Great location, close to central park and subway station. Very cool outdoor patio! Rooms have a very modern feel and are clean. Beds are small, but comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.

I so want to like this place but they so don't want to help. The social areas are great, I like the bars and The Common; no one travels to New York to spend much time in the hotel room but there are certain expectations, right? So, the mattress was old and made noise, the water could not be shut... More

Casual, trendy atmosphere with great common areas like airy, skylight garden for meeting, relaxing or socializing; rooftop terrace for drinks; library bar with fireplace; and great hall for breakfast. The hotel is two blocks from Central Park, Time Warner Mall, and subways at Columbus Circle. However, the average rooms are tiny unless you can afford a suite. And the hotel... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
