Our room was a double queen. Many hotel's queens are smaller than what you might be used to at home but I swear these were twins. The room layout made it hard to walk around since the foot of the beds come very close to the furniture. The bathroom, on the other hand, was quite large. There were water pressure... More

The Holiday Inn exceeded my expectations - the rooms are immaculate and all staff were friendly. The front desk went out of their way to assist us, and I appreciated the parking tips from the valet. The location is ideal, being in the heart of Soho/Chinatown (they are right next to each other, so I'm not sure what other reviewers... More

This hotel provides the piece-of-mind that comes with staying at a well-known chain, but it has slipped a bit since we stayed here a couple of years ago. The place is clean and the staff professional, as can be expected from Holiday Inn. But, stay away from the hotel restaurant. We had breakfast there on a Saturday morning, and it... More

My sister and I stayed at this hotel in February 2007 for one night for an exam I had to take at the NYU. I chose this location due to the fact that it was close to several subway stations, but more importantly, just a short walk towards Canal Street is the subway station which would quickly take me to... I read many of the reviews and even spoke to some friends about the hotel. After visiting I would definitely recommend, especially after seeing some of the prices per night that some of the other reviewers received. My night was free due to a frequent stay program. The rooms were defintely small, almost humorous, but very suitable for a nice... More

My friends and I stayed here the weekend of March 31st for my Bachelorette Party. One of my friends got the room for free using her credit card points, so I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is new, clean, quiet, and safe and the staff were all very helpful. Yes, it is really located in Chinatown,... More

After reading the many reviews of this hotel on this site - including some from the past few months - I have to admit that we were filled with a bit of trepidation about our stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown/Soho . . . . . . but we're now absolutely happy to confirm that we really enjoyed our stay... 1) In my search for a hotel this one was listed as a $180 a night room. The rooms actually cost $235. There are no $180 rooms. So they know how to fool a search engine. Use caution. 2) The rooms are literally 3 feet larger than the king bed inside it. Just enough room to walk around the bad.... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
