My wife and I stayed here last may (2014) for about 5 days, and the main attribute is that it is handy for shopping and dining. This hotel has seen better days, and is due a major renovation. That said it was a fairly good price, and we would have paid more for a better hotel if we had realised. The... More

I cannot begin to tell you how bad this hotel was!!! Dirty, tattered, out of bath products and towels in the bathroom. Had to ask for towels, the elevators were slow and broken. the staff were bombarded with people at the front desk complaining to them. The area was not handy for all the sights to see. The knock off... More

The holiday inn was as expected of a major chain hotel, room was clean, and reasonable size, the cost was reasonable and overall we enjoyed staying there, best part was that little italy was a short walk for a quick dinner. Also the big bus tour stops just across the street which was very handy.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Soho for close on two weeks last year. It was the eye of winter, and bitterly cold. But the friendly staff and utter convenience of the Holiday Inn quickly warmed me up. There are no frills, no treats left on the pillows - just a great honest hotel that's perfect if you're wanting to... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over the new year period. The room was already paid for before I arrived and upon check in I was asked to provide a credit card for incidentals. I later discovered that close to $1,000 was being held on my credit card. I was already home when I discovered this and I... More

New York is a lovely place, very busy with lots of walking to see all the sites. We stayed in the holiday inn soho which is quite central to all the attractions. It's within walking distance to the world trade centre memorial, little Italy and Chinatown. The staff were brilliant, really helpful offering lots of advice just as hotel staff... More

Superb Location, great & nice welcoming staff and service. It's truly remarkable to get a hotel that has everything all in one package. Nice room, reasonable size for NYC and clean. Good channels. Everything located within a 5 minute walk of the hotel including so many Subway lines. I loved it all. Bed was quite comfortable indeed and a nice... More

By far the most expensive Holiday Inn of our trip, this also boasted the smallest room. It took some creative packing and stacking to fit all our luggage in to the room and still be able to move about in it. As this was a 7 night stay, the walls were starting to close in on us a bit by... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
