This hotel was bad with a capital "B"! The rooms were not clean, the staff was rude, and the concierge was mean, and it was noisy. The only good thing was that we could see the Statue of Liberty from our room. The concierge told us there was a good restaurant across the street. Turns out, the restaurant was noisy,... More

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton for 4 nights. Our room was overlooking the Statue of Liberty, and we had the exclusive invitiation to the Executive Lounge on the 11th floor. What an experience!! This was our 4th stay in New York and the area was new to us (usually staying in Manhattan). The location was fine, very near Wall... More

A little too far downtown for some- we love the location because you are a short subway ride from midtown, a short walk from Wall Street and downtown. The views are fantastic and the food has always been excellent. We have stayed several times and the experience is always the same- great. I really like the art deco decor of... More

The Ritz at Battery Park is a great launching point for touring the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Museum of the American Indian and the Holocaust Museum. Our rooms were spacious, for Manhattan, and had telescopes for viewing the harbor. The rooftop bar was very cool with a stunning view. It is a very family friendly hotel and the... More

We were drawn in by the hotel's weekend package that included dinner and breakfast, and were pleased to find rooms available on Valentine's Day weekend. There's a lot to like about the property. The service, largely, was impeccable. We were upgraded, as promised to a harbor view room with a stunning view of the Statue of Liberty and a telescope... More

After spending four days in midtown Manhattan to see all the attractions, we wanted to get away from the hectic tourist fray of Central Park and relax by New York Harbor/explore lower Manhattan. If you know what to expect, this is really the ideal place to do just that: there is no better place to stay in lower Manhattan. While... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton for one night over the Christmas holidays. Since we had previously stayed at another Ritz Carlton, the hotel upgraded us to a suite. It was terrific. We had a view of the harbor and the statue of liberty and the room had a telescope. Also had room service which was excellent.... More

I love the Ritz in Battery Park! First, it's five-star all the way, with outstanding accommodations and staff. Second, relative to the insanely overpriced Manhattan hotel market, the Ritz is frequently a bargain. And third, I love the downtown location. If I had kids or was doing some type of formal vacation, I might not want to be downtown (and... More

We arrived in New York on an overcast day. The valet and checkin was fair. It took a while for our room to be prepared (an extra 45 minutes) and some time for our luggage to be taken from our car upon arrival from the bellmen. We were offered a room on a floor not on the club level however,... More

I have started to stay at the Ritz Carlton, Battery Park for business recently and it has been a real treat. As the name indicates, the hotel is in Battery Park on the lower tip of Manhattan, so it is very convenient to walk to the financial district (15 minutes) or over to the ferries for the Statue of Liberty...
