This hotel is not really a hotel; it is a residential complex with mostly students. We booked here because it was advertised as having fully-equipped kitchen and we needed this as we have a 3 month old baby. We were reassured there is a front desk also. When we arrived at this place, we were asked by the concierge guy... More

Spent 5 miserable nites here with only consolation being its near my daughter's school, NYU East Village. Its a great pity as the location is gd. Wont be back again, On my return trip, stayed in Bedford Hotel & love it! Will return to Bedford!

This is an apartment, sparsely furnished, in an NY apartment building. It's a small studio, with a very small bathroom. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to live in NY as a student or just starting a career, you'll have the exact experience I had when I graduated from NYU. There's a small functional kitchen, standard-issue... More

Great location by subway, restaurants, NYU, shops etc. Rooms are so much larger than normal NYC hotel and have a little kitchen in them , which is a great bonus. Bathrooms are the biggest problem. They are extremely tiny and not super clean. My shower curtain was moldy on the inside. I brought cleaner to spray it down. One bedroom... More

All the equipment was in realy bad condition - the iron was dirty and rouind my shirt, TV was black and white, Internet access is not wi-fi (so forget... More

We just got home from dropping our son of at NYU. We were scheduled to fly out on 8-27, but due to hurricane Irene, our flights were cancelled and ALL area airports were shut down until Monday. We were unable to occupy our original rooms on 8-27 and 8-28 due to the fact that we COULD NOT fly into NY... More

Pros: Location is excellent. Next to Washington Square park. Close to subway. Clean. Comfortable. If you stay longer, there is a kitchen with all necessary appliances and stuff. Beautiful window view. The reception people (different guys) are neat and friendly. Cons: Expensive!

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
