My husbandand I stayed here in the first week of December 2014. We had a lovely big room at the top of the hotel which overlooked the courtyard at the back. I asked for a quiet room and it was. Very comfortable, nicely furnished and everything worked. Most of all we slept like logs in a very comfortable bed. The... More

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at 414 Hotel. The Boutique is a couple of blocks from Times Square and it's in a nice quiet location. I like that they offer coffee throughout the day, breakfast, and wine and cheese in the afternoon. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's an older hotel not remodeled but the rooms are spacious. I... More

Don't know where to begin! We booked this hotel for our 20th anniversary based on recommendations from Trip Advisor and it exceeded all our expectations. We loved every aspect of it - the room (courtyard view) was clean and well equipped and had daily "maid" service. Every morning we had a lovely continental breakfast with our fellow guests. In the... I am in the middle of a spell of constant business travel I was in New York to work between December 29th 2014 and January 2nd 2015. I was not really looking foward to New Year's Eve. I had been seeking a place which would be far enough away from Times Square to be accessible but close enough to be... More

We loved the staff and everything about this cute little place. Evening wine and cheese and breakfast in the cozy lobby. We needed just one night down the street from our daughter's apartment during Christmas week and were warmly welcomed. We would highly recommend this hotel and will refer anybody who asks where to stay.

The staff at 414 Hotel were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They constantly suggested sights or restaurants we might want to visit, and helped with travel and booking planning. The rooms were comfortable and well looked after, and the hotel provided wine and cheese every evening in the cosy lobby, which we really enjoyed. Overall, we could not recommend a... More

I stayed here with a friend late august. It was "in a hurry" booking as the hotel we stayed on was full and we planned bad. When we came here we were met with a personel which showed interest in us as individual. This is somewhat unusal when you normally enter a hotel, but it really warmed. We were offered... More

WOW!!!!! This place is how small hotels should be. If you are interested in skyscraper hotels don't read anymore. If you are interested in having an unforgetable stay, book this hotel (but leave a room for next December so I can go back..). My wife and I stayed for 6 nights at mid december (first time in NY). 1. We had never been to New York before and arrived at 8.00pm and immediately was greeted with lovely happy and caring reception person. the hotel is warm inviting and on the most lovely street that is a quiet place in all the hassle and bustle. We were in room. 401 which is three flights of stairs up, which at first... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
