As somebody mention this before, this hotel is very well located and it is very clean, however the space even for New York is very small. The main issue here is the staff. They were very rude at most times and didn't care for helping our assisting customers. I would say it has potential, however, it has to change their... More

I wasn't sure what to expect from a "budget hotel", and for the most part, the Belnord was a great experience. Three of us booked rooms while we were in NYC for a conference at Columbia. I was in a newly renovated room, which was very clean and a decent sized space. There was enough space for a double bed,... More

First and foremost, the hotel was extremely clean. The rooms were small, which is to be expected in Manhattan, but had everything that was needed, and were cleaned daily while we were out. The bedding and towels were all very clean and comfortable. As an added bonus...the subway was only 1 block away!! There were plenty of choices of food... More

Your enjoyment of this place is going to greatly depend on your expectations. This is the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. I don't think I can accurately put into words just how small it truly is. We had the two twin bed room (and I honestly don't think the beds themselves were even truly twin sized) and there... More

I think it is an excellent choice if what you want is bedrock-basic, comfortable, inexpensive lodging in that neighborhood. Why is the price low? Because the room is small; I didn't notice any other tradeoffs. This was my second visit. Both times I stayed in one of their "bunk bed rooms." Both times my experience was the same and fully... My husband and I traveled to NYC for fun. It was our first time visiting. We had done a lot of research trying to find a place to stay for four nights. I found this gem! Yes. The room was small, but many rooms in the city are small and we weren't planning to spend a lot of time in... More

By far the Belnord is the best, it is immaculate, the customer service was the best and location, location, location. I fee comfortable going up by my self with the ease and access of transportation. Yes the rooms are small but the cleanliness and hospitality made up for it. Did I mention we stayed in 5 star hotels that weren't... More

Extremely clean, renovated and very friendly and proffesional staff. After quite a few awful experiences with hotels in Manhattan staying at the Belnord has definetely made the difference. Great location as well, very close to Central Park, the John Lennon memorial, the Dakota Building, Amsterdam Ave and Broadway. There is a lot of good restaurants and nice terraces around to... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2015

The hotel is situated in Upper West Side of Manhattan - not too far away from the subway which goes straight to the lower part of the Manhattan. I really liked the quit street with lots of shops, restaurants and coffee shops around. A Central park is only a few minutes by walk very close to the lake. The room... More
