The Belnord is perfectly located in-between Amsterdam and Broadway. It's a comfortable walk to Central Park, too. We were welcomed by the lobby and check-in staff. They were very nice and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed on the first floor near the rear of the hotel. Quiet and away from the elevator. Without experiencing any of the other rooms,... More

My wife and I have stayed here 4 separate times while visiting our daughter, the rooms are small, but this seems to be typical for the city. Beds are a welcome respite after touring around NYC, showers are very nice, TV is just right, staff is always nice and willing to help with any problems. Location is close to subway,... More

It's a great location, close to center and metro station. Rooms are too small but they are pretty clean. Staff is ok. Price is more than expected however I would prefer to stay if I go to NY again :) If you want to utilize the hotel room just for sleeping and taking a shower it is a suitable place... More

Hemingway did not stay at the Belnord. No poems will be written about It; no honeymooners will have their pictures taken there. But here's the thing. A bed is a bed. Once you turn your lights out you can pretend to be at the Plaza or the Waldorf. It's clean. It's safe. It's close to any form of transportation. What... More

Our 4 night stay at the Belnord was okay. Location was great, across the road from the subway and a few blocks walk to Central Park. The area was very safe, we walked home late at night and were fine. The room was extremely small, the smallest hotel room I've ever been in. It was just big enough to fit... More

My parents, my wife and I visited Belnord hotel in April 2015. We had 2 rooms with double bed booked via Expedia. On checking in, it appeared that the hotel was over booked and they did not have rooms that we reserved. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating though. The room heater produced loud noises at regular intervals throughout... More

The Belnord Hotel is in a great neighborhood, the Upper West Side, replete with amazing restaurants, bars and sights to see. The Belnord Hotel is a VERY basic establishment with rooms the size of a college dorm room and very few amenities. However, the hotel is very clean and usually very inexpensive, so if you know what you're getting, you... More

I stayed at the Belnord at a recent trip to NYC with my boyfriend... the location is perfect. 2 blocks off Central Park, right near bagel and breakfast spots for a quick yummy meal before setting out in the morning. Good neighborhood, very very clean rooms, helpful service. Front desk staff gave good local recommendations and staff answered requests for... More

Pros,,, Location, friendly staff, overall cleanliness! Well organised! Small, but for the price and location, I didn't mind! Also if it's just one or two people, and you just need a place to sleep, the size doesn't matter! It's New York anyways, you don't go there to sit in the room! Shower tap needs a bit getting used to, (but... More

All the reviews here about Belford are extremely accurate. Almost everything I read here happened to me, so it meets all I expected. Location: perfect! Subway station just around the corner. Countless excellent restaurants around. 24hrs CVS a block away. Museum of natural history and central park within mind of walking. And a very beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood. Room:... More
