Stayed here in October with a friend. Room was cramped, but was expecting this as it is New York. Hotel was very clean and wireless worked well. But staff at desk weren't particularly helpful and location is a good bit outside of city centre. Not much happeneing in way of bars and restaurants close to hotel. We booked very late... More

The hotel in general was good. It was at a nice and safe location close to subway. The room on the other hand was very small... Basically just the bed. I had a hard time to place my luggage anywhere... Im not sure if all their rooms are that small though... I was suppose to get a room with 2... More

Teachers going to conferences never have budgets to stay at pricey New York City hotels. The 2 weeks leading up to Christmas mean even more expensive hotels. This is the second time I've stayed at the Belnord for a Columbia University conference. Good points: very near the #1 subway line, very clean, near restaurants and drug stores, safe neighborhood. Weak... More

We had a lovely stay at the Belnord hotel. We were given a lovely room.. Not as small as the other reviews describe so perhaps we were lucky! The free wifi is great and the hotel is very clean and well kept. We reported a problem with our toilet and it was seen to immediately and without hesitation. The hotel... More

Room is small and our bed is only a double (full size). My husband is 6'3 and can lay across the bedroom part and nearly touch both walls and his feet kinda hang off the bed lol. We have absolutely no view but we're ok with it. But the bathroom is nice and updated, the room is clean, and it's... More

The Belnord is conveniently located in the middle of Manhattan a block from a sub way station, plenty of restaurants and with in walking distance of Central Park. The building and room were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful enough. that along with the price are the upside of Belnord. It was the smallest hotel room I have... More

We stayed 3 nights there and didn't have a huge budget, so the hotel was perfect really. Well located and in a safe and relatively quiet area close to subways and Central Park, but the room was tiny. Staff were friendly. Overall, nothing too special, but clean, well located and good value for money.

I know New York is expensive, but surely there is more value in goodwill than in charging $2 for 10 minutes on a guest computer. On the flipside free wifi (so why charge for computer use?).As a hotel this is a fair choice, and has some positives. But think Singapore/Japan sized rooms with pokey bathrooms. Beds are designed for short... More

My husband and I stayed at the Belnord Hotel in New York during Thanksgiving. It was nice, quiet, and close to the subway. I was worried about the size of the room when I looked at the reviews. Yes, the room and bathroom were small, but we were there to see the Parade and tour the city so we barely... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Belnord in the upper west side of New York City. We had done our research before staying there and we're not surprised by the very small room. The room and the hotel are very well maintained although the bathroom sink is so small it is impossible to use it for more than brushing your... More
