the room was really small, the smallest I've ever been, the location was ok, it was 1 block away from the subway, but it didn't worth the price. The employee at the front desk was rude and arrogant, I didn't have a bad time because I was always out, but I don't really recommend this place

The room is pretty small, but between us - who comes to NYC to spend time at the hotel? It's pretty close to central park and the metro station, which makes its location excellent. There are no meals included, but I wanted to try some of New York's foods anyway. The room was clean and tidy, the staff are very... More

Went with a friend. Had a very small room with 2 twin beds and a tiny bathroom. Very clean lobby and rooms. Price was right $125. Located on a quiet street one block from Broadway and 3 blocks from Central Park. 2 women walked home at midnight and felt safe. Will definitely try again.

Got an excellent rate and was afraid it would be too good to be true, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location - quiet, safe neighborhood and only a few blocks from Zabar's. The front desk clerk was pleasant and assured me that the desk was staffed 24 hours a day. The room was the... More

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The Subway (86 Street on the 1 line) is around the corner with direct access to downtown Manhattan. There is a good choice of very reasonable places to eat within a few minutes walk...City Diner, Big Daddy's, French Roast, Edgars Cafe, Cafe 82 and many more. The hotel is small and easily accessible.... More

This is a basic, budget hotel in the upper west side. The neighborhood is nice/safe/clean. The lobby is quaint, efficient, and clean. The double bed guestroom we had was #201. It was spotless, had a closet, safe, desk, and full bath. The room is small 10 X10ish. The bathroom is small 3 X 4ish. Hence it is a very small... More

I have been staying here for many years. It is PERFECT for my travel needs when I come to New York. The rates have always been very good and consistent. Good Location for public Transportation. Several excellent restaurants in the area (my favorite, La Mirabelle) and there is an excellent breakfast place one block away.

Rooms are being remodeled on 5th-6th floors. Spacious twin rooms at this neighborhood hotel. We love room 514. Good space with closet, drawers, and shower. Value is good too for what you pay on the UWS. Al and Tracy are great at the front desk. Good restaurants in the hood : Milling Room- great fish and steaks-BYOB on Tues night,... More

My wife and I stayed here when we wanted to spend a weekend on the upper west side. We had a double room, and it was extremely tiny. There was a bed, and about a foot of floor space around it. Everything was clean, and the bathroom was new so we were happy. The prices were pretty cheap so if... More

Stayed in October for a week. Room is basic but nothing out of the ordinary for New York. Overall very happy with it and the location was great, right next to the subways and nice restaurants nearby too. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
