We stayed for 3 nights Feb 2015 on the first leg of our honeymoon in a Luxury Queen Room and I have to say it was an excellent choice of hotel. The Good: Very clean, comfy, well presented room. Quick and simple check in. Very friendly, helpful staff. Very comfy bed. Robe and slippers in the room and a well... More

I stayed for 4 nights in the end of February. The hotel itself is located in 41th st, near Madison. The room (twin bed, by request) was clean and comfortable. With a 2 minuted walk to the Grand Central terminal, the location is absolutely awesome. In regard to dining, The Benjamin restaurant is just next door (haven't eaten there, but... More

Brilliant location to walk most areas of manhattan and the staff were absolutely wonderful. Staff member Oat was particularly helpful during a difficult storm. Thank you. Breakfast in the hotel is probably the best value you can find within 30 minutes walking and usually peaceful so you am enjoy over a paper or emails. Definitely our preferred hotel in NYC.

Stayed for 4 nights on business trip to Manhattan, 1st week February 2015. Check in very quick with very friendly front desk staff. Room was good size, larger than average for Manhattan, very clean, bed very comfy, decor, carpets, curtains etc looking a little tired and probably about due to be updated, but even so, all spotlessly clean! Bathroom very... More

This is 3-4 star review-Great rate for night in NYC. Conveniently located, easy walk to theater, restaurants and shopping. We were upgraded to a Jr. Suite because the City of NY was turning off the water overnight from 11PM-6AM, which was NOT the hotel's fault. Bath was updated, rooms are a little 'shabby' but for the location, location, location and... More

Off season mark down led me to the Dylan. It is perfectly located in Midtown East. The front desk person was very accommodating, and my request for non feather pillows was filled almost instantly. The housekeeper made the change with a smile. The room was clean and uncomfortable. It was an unbeatable value.

The Dylan offers sound service and striking design, but rooms are small, dimly lit, and a bit worn. Though there's a small fitness center, and close proximity to Grand Central Station. You can dine at the Benjamin Steakhouse or order meals from the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The steak here is a dream come true. It was first... More

I chose this hotel because it had an attractive rate and a 4.3 of 5 rating on Expedia, where I booked it. It is certainly not that good of a hotel. While the hotel has newer, more modern rooms and a great location two blocks from Grand Central Station, it was disappointing. Overall, the room was in good condition, the... More

If you're doing a tour of the sights in Manhattan this hotel is in a good location. The hotel itself is more than adequate, it has an art deco feel to it and has a nice bit of history in its previous guise. Our room was comfortable and clean, the staff courteous and knowledgable. I'm not going to be the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
