On a quick overnight business trip and many Grand Central Station-area hotels sold out, I took a chance on the Dylan. This chic-ish hotel had a small, well-appointed lobby with a European flair. The hallways to the room were very cool and stylish. The room was surprisingly large by NYC standards. My room(4th floor) didn't have a view but since... More

Good location in Manhattan at Murray Hill. Very good breakfast, good size rooms, beds and pillows, very clean and hospitable crew. The restaurant is a very good and famous steakhouse. I recommend for both business and leisure.

This hotel is conveniently located near Grand Central Station so very convenient for the airport shuttle and if you need to take the train to other parts of the East Coast. It is a Spanish hotel so lots of clients there smoke even if prohibited. You know because the smell circulates in the AC vents and it comes through into... More

We chose The Dylan for its great location right round the corner from Grand Central Station. We arrived mid afternoon but the reception staff seemed to have difficulty locating a room for us. When we did arrive at the room it was still being cleaned. The room itself was at the back of the hotel with no view but that... More

The Dylan hotel 's best attribute is it's location. One block south of Grand Central and walkable to Bryant Park, Times Square and Central Park (little less than a mile walk), I loved where it was located. It was clean, the staff friendly and helpful but the room itself somewhat sparse and claustrophobic, as were the hallways. But the price... More

A fun and funky hotel. Playing off the history of the building, the cups in the bathroom were 250ml beakers. The quotations about NYC from famous people that are painted on the walls, the sweeping staircase, the Euro style of the rooms and public spaces, and the fact that the TV has more non-English channels than English-speaking channels make this... Stayed for work for 6 days on business trip but also took my wife. I have given 5 star to hotel despite some bad points to the stay. 5 stars because the hotel manager and staff worked hard to improve the disappointing start we had. Picked this hotel specifically because it had a gym which unfortunately fell apart the first... More

I was upgraded to a king room and it was very spacious - I could even do yoga in the space between the bed and desk (my measure of a NYC "spacious" room). Lots of nice details: extra toothbrush, free wifi, a tiny boxy of chocolate. The lobby is just so-so, but looked like some renovations were happening. The desk... More

They need to sweat the small stuff. Toilet paper, wash cloths, soap etc without asking. They ask you if you want to reuse towels but have no towel bars in main part of bathroom--only two hooks--but one was missing. Would only call a taxi if you were going to an airport. Staff very friendly.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Eurostars Dylan Hotel, hotel in Manhattan, unites tradition and modernity exquisitely and with a contemporary elegance that captivates our guests. The building is very emblematic, first having been the residence of the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas and later, the headquarters of the New York Pharmacists Club. The Eurostars Dylan Hotel combines the classical lounges and guest rooms of the period with ambiances and areas in contemporary design. We are a non-stop hotel, because the Big Apple never stops. For this reason, the gym and the Business Centre are open 24 hours a day. ... more   less
