If you are a traveler that cares about the history of the places you visit, you will certainly appreciate The Dylan. This hotel is housed at the old Chemical society building. The rooms are a great size if you judge by New York City size standard, the lobby was being remodeled but it didn't take away from the experience, the... More

The only positive comment I have about the hotel is it's convenient location to Grand Central Station. On our arrival we noticed the hotel had conveniently left books in the room that had rated the hotel in the top 200 in the World in 2012. We visited New York in July, 2014 and this was not a top 200 in... More

Location is very close to Grand Central. Lobby is inviting and the staff was reasonably friendly, but stepping off the elevators was unimpressive, and sadly the rooms were about the same. Many knocks and marks. Room average size, but very few outlets. Price was okay for NY, but certainly not a budget pricing range. The usual places I stay in... More

Stayed here for four nights in July on a weekend break with my daughter. The building is the old Chemical society building, one of those impressive buildings in the middle of a block that you don't really notice, but of which there are many in Manhattan. Pleasant interior, warm enough welcome, comfortable rooms (the bed was great). Slightly larger than... More

Let's start with the good: location - that's it - a couple blocks from Grand Central and within whispering distance of every major Manhattan subway line - but you can say that about at least 100 hotels. Reserved a Junior Suite and pre-paid, which you think the hotel would appreciate the customer making the commitment of pre-paying with no refund... More

I stayed for a whole week at the Dylan during a work trip. The room (Luxury Queen Room) was actually almost large for NY standards, and for the price, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent, with Grand Central literally just around the corner you can get everywhere by public transport easily, and always find a cab.... More

Nice little boutique hotel situated between the New York Library and Grand Central Station on 41st Street. Nice and quiet hotel with friendly staff. Our room was huge by NYC standards. The ceilings were around 15 ft ....no joke. I would highly recommend.

I was very pleased with the price, accommodations, and location of this hotel. It was nice and quiet and a quick walk to grand central terminal. Cozy room, but that's all we needed. The Benjamin restaurant attached was absolutely amazing.

This hotel's not for everyone. Read everything carefully. But if you have traveled a great deal in Europe, much about this place will be familiar. It's quirky. Not cookie-cutter. But very spacious for a hotel of it's type. Bed was comfortable/spacious Well appointed. Extremely professional staff - I felt like I was in London. And the were extremely helpful. Will... More

Was on a last minute business trip and found this hotel. For the price (300$ CAD/night) it was reasonable for the area. I never stayed in NYC before, so I cannot compare the room size, but it had the bare minimum. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was freezing cold though and no matter how... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Eurostars Dylan Hotel, hotel in Manhattan, unites tradition and modernity exquisitely and with a contemporary elegance that captivates our guests. The building is very emblematic, first having been the residence of the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas and later, the headquarters of the New York Pharmacists Club. The Eurostars Dylan Hotel combines the classical lounges and guest rooms of the period with ambiances and areas in contemporary design. We are a non-stop hotel, because the Big Apple never stops. For this reason, the gym and the Business Centre are open 24 hours a day. ... more   less
