I had higher hopes for this place. Primarily chosen for access to Grand Central and other public transport. Front desk (mostly men) was not so friendly, poker-faced, and business-like. I understand that you are dealing with so many people but, if you don't like your job, get a new one. I booked one night (via orbitz) and when I was... More

They stole clothes from my luggage, I'm 100% positive. Obviously "they trust their staff" and denied it all. The people I talked with explaining that I was sure I was missing two pieces of clothing were amongst the rudest and nastiest people I have ever met in my life Worst place ever, I'm never gonna go back there. ABSOLUTELY NOT... More

We got this hotel by using Hotwire for a last minute trip to NYC. The good stuff first: location. It's situated a block away from the entrance of Grand Central Station, and a block and a half from the New York Public Library. There's a Starbucks on one corner and a large health food/vitamin shop on the other. On the... More

The Dylan Hotel is well located and close to Grand Central Terminal in NYC. It is part of the Eurostars hotel chain and appears to cater to a European clientele. Since I am not European (but have traveled there extensively and go with the flow when I am there), my feedback will reflect my American expectations. I was in NYC... More

I stayed at the Dylan Hotel for only one night. The main attraction point for me in selecting this hotel was the proximity to the train station. On that topic, location can be great since you can easily make a round on fifth ave, time square, empire state building and other downtown attractions. I think they should rather promote themselves... More

We visited New York with our children 14 - 22 years old and stayed at Dylan hotel for four nights. We got three rooms close to eachother. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and the AC was very effektive which was nice since it was very hot... The hotel was quiet, but you could hear the guests in... More

We ended up here after securing a last minute deal through a third party site. Overall the hotel was fine - small room as is typical for NYC, older furnishings, slightly dingy. The shower had good water pressure, which is huge. The location is good if you're in town for a short period of time, or don't spend a lot... More

I checked in the hotel at around 11.00 pm. I observed the stained bedsheets and asked them to change it . A house keeping guys came and gave the bedsheets and said " change it your self". He said i am not the guy who change it so you do it. I asked the front desk to change my room.... More

When I booked my $300+ room, I was under the impression that I was booking at a high end, luxury hotel. Couldn't be more wrong. Lobby poor. Service poor. Check in desk is a mess. Hallways smell like smoke. Room is gross, old and begging for an upgrade. Furniture is dirty and a hodge podge of cheap junk. Cable on... More

The staff specially at the breakfast service were very kind. I found one certain guy that was working at the reception, very unfriendly, even when I checked out, no thank you or any other Word camecame out of his mouth. Besides that, its a very good hotel near awesome places.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
