Overall, a positive experience staying at this hotel. I was there for two nights only (over the weekend) and the room was pretty good imo. On the smaller side, though I've been in much smaller and didn't mind at all. It was clean, except for a couple towels, there were enough clean ones that I didn't need to ask for... More

I think that many people have ridiculous expectations for boutique 3/4 star hotels so I ignored the mixed reviews for the Dylan. Unfortunately, they were right. Location, lobby and staff are great. Upstairs is a different story. The door to my room looked Iike it had been through a battle. The room was a good size for one person. However,... More

Returned to this hotel for 5 nights last weekend having previously had a great weekend break here last June. Location in my opinion can't be beaten being where the NYC Transporter stops from JFK, one block from Grand Central Station, Bryant Park and shopping on 5th Avenue all within a 5 minute walk. Only slightly annoying thing was after arriving... More

I could not have had a better stay. You don't go to a boutique hotel for views, you go for location and service. The service was very good and being handicapped my driver was exceptional in getting my bag to the hotel door and the hotel staff was exceptional in getting my bag out of the hotel to my departing... The staff was accommodating and the location was good relative to transportation options. I "sampled" two rooms. The first room ( which was an upgrade) had no windows. I was given a room with a window, but similar to the room I had before it was small and very dark. The TV in both rooms was erratic and had very... More

We booked this hotel for our first visit to New York. It suited our needs as it is perfectly located in central Manhatten and a stones throw away from Grand Central Terminal. Good staff, comfy room and a great steak house next door. Well worth staying for a reasonable price too.

Beautiful hotel on 41st St. , we were on a bedroom for 4 persons with family, not very big beds for 2 persons but cosy style and attentive staff. Even if not that comfortable , the hotel's location is excellent, near 42d St and its metro station ''Bryant Park'' , you can walk through Bryant Park , have a look... More

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and personally are friendly and very helpful. The desk chair in our room was wobbly and they immediately replaced it. The room is small but comfortable. This building at one time was a chemistry club so the glasses in the room were chemistry beakers. The restaurant in the building... More

Booked one of the executive rooms in this hotel and it was so far from executive standard! The stale smell when we entered the room was terrible! The bathroom was completely covered in mould... Every groove in the tiles, pure disgusting! So disappointing as i am familiar with the executive room standard. Plain and simple i'd say avoid at all... More

My check-in experience was awful. Once I went to my room, I was welcomed with ripped/scratched furniture and a bathroom with bits of dirt and an open cabinet. When I asked for a room change, I was treated with great disdain. The snooty front desk manager insisted he walk me back to the room just to tell me the room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
