The Dylan hotel is a small boutique type hotel located very near the train station - Grand Central Terminal. The lobby is small but leads to a nice on-site and full service restaurant. Small elevators so can't get much luggage or people in at once. Spacious hallways and my room was very large. I don't know if my room size... more

Good points - central Manhattan location. Seemed clean. Staff were friendly. Not good - dark gloomy rooms (I asked to be moved which to their credit they accomodated but it wasn't much better). Dark gloomy public areas of the hotel too Didn't eat there so can't comment on the adjacent restaurant - seemed to be busy though. Won't stay there... more

The air conditioning was broken and I stayed there in the middle of recent heat wave. I would expect free water or even offer to move to another hotel in NYC but they did not really bother. Plus the place is very very noisy! more

I stayed here mid January for three nights and was actually quite pleasantly surprised. Because I stay in NYC hotels at least 2-3 times a year, I pretty much know what to expect for the $300-$400 a night price range - small clean room, tiny bathroom, little to no view. I think once one's expectations are thus lowered, one can... more

My husband and I stayed at the Dylan Hotel for three nights in January. We paid $259 per night, which with tax came to $300 a night. Midtown location was very convenient, as was the super-close proximity to Grand Central Station. Service was pleasant, the room and bathroom were both spotless. Kingsize bed was great. Ipod docking station in the... more

I ended up at the Dylan for two nights at the last minute since few other hotels were available at the time. I was concerned because of several of the earlier very negative reviews. There was no reason to worry. First, this hotel is definitely not 4 Star as some seem to think it is. It is really fairly basic... more

I will tell the excellent time I have at Dylan Hotel, from the chek-in to the awful chek-out, I didn´t want to go from that place. Months Ago I went to Blue Tulum, and I was shocked with the place, I thought that there are no nice hotels rounds new york, but Dylan is a nice, clean and beatiful one.... more
