My wife, Terry, & I flew to New York from Savannah for 2014 Thanksgiving weekend & our stay at the Muse was fabulous. It is an artsy boutique hotel just a 2 minute walk/a half a block, off Times Square, and it was all good: Our large room, the lobby, the staff and the restaurant.

Arrived on my birthday for my first trip to NYC to see the sights and go to a Broadway play. The people at the hotel were very friendly, wishing me a happy birthday and giving me a bottle of wine and a coupon for two deserts and two bubbly drinks at their restaurant.

Everyone knows I love The Muse Hotel in New York. First let me say my problem this time was not with the people...from the front desk to wonderful Brian and my favorite bartender Mr. R. at Nios, to the wonderful girl serving free cocktails at 5...the people are awesome. The problem was the room. Paying for a one bedroom suite... More

Five years ago my amazing wife organized a surprise 60th birthday party for me in NYC. She chose the The Muse as our hotel. People flew in from different parts of Canada to join us and it was an amazing experience. It was also our first Kimpton Hotel and ever since, whenever it's possible, we stay at Kimpton properties. This... More

The Muse was the perfect home base for our family's quick weekend trip to NYC. We were only in town for two days and one night so location was critical. With so much to see in such a condensed time frame the Muse's central location was a godsend. The hotel is on a small side street right off time square... More

If you're wanting to be right in the buzz of things, this is a great hotel. But if you want a little piece and quiet, turn right as you leave the building and it's a whole new world. The room was a decent size, but with no natural light at all. The air-conditioning unit was incredibly noisy and kept us... More

I've been traveling to NYC at least once or twice a year for over 30 year and this hotel is a find! Very reasonable prices, great staff, and you can't beat the location - W 46 St. near 6th Ave. The room and bathroom were quite large (for New York standards!). All this and 5 -6 pm wine reception nightly... More

I checked in at the Muse Hotel in Manhattan on my multi-day business trip to learn that the restaurant was closed (tonight only) and that the fitness center was closed for my entire stay. Not to worry, however, because they had made arrangements with a "conveniently close" facility 5 and a half NYC blocks away. Really? Had this been disclosed... More

I went for an overnight stay at this hotel, and it was my first time. It was a perfect experience because of Maximilian, Rosalie and Esprit. They quickly got to know me and catered to my needs. It's all about the little things, and The Muse does the little things in an amazing way. I will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location. The room was very nice and quite large by New York City standards. The staff was extremely friendly, probably something nicest people I've ever met in a hotel in New York. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and it will probably be my new "go to" for the city. Plus,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
