It feels like home. The staff, the room and the food are amazing. I travel for work, I travel weekly and the dream is by far my favorite hotel. I get everything I want depending on the mood I am. I LOVE IT

This is my 5th stay at the Dream. Great location close to transportation, restaurants, shopping and all NYC has to offer. Special kudos to Jillian Berman, Assistant Front. Office Manager, who helped me with WiFi and thanks to the Housekeeping Staff who thoroughly clean the rooms, promptly, and pleasantly. Everyone at this hotel "gets it" and understands what hospitality is... More

Excellent roof top bar/lounge. Very good food. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. There is no reason that I can think of to use a business class hotel in New York anymore. I was able to work and play at the hotel.

We were here for a night as friends of ours were staying at the hotel. Dream downtown in meat packing is one of the best party hot spots. The rooftop bar PHD is rocking every night. So is the electric room. The hotel has a nightclub vibe to it. As hotel guest you do have free entry into PHD but... More

I spent one night at the Dream Downtown when I was in town for a business trip. As a native New Yorker, it was a bit strange staying in a hotel, but I can confidently say that the location of the Dream is awesome...right in the middle of all the meatpacking district excitement! The hotel itself is very trendy and... More

I just stayed at the Dream Downtown Hotel for work and it was a wonderful experience! The location was amazing; in the meat packing district/chelsea; so, tons of restaurants and shops to explore. The single room was small, but, efficient and had all that I needed for my stay. The staff was SUPER HELPFUL and very courteous and accomodating! I... More

I stayed at the hotel with my boyfriend for two nights. The hotel is in a great area (near Chelsea market, Google offices, and a bunch of great eats). The PhD rooftop is really nice and has great views of the city. HOWEVER, we were told we had to pay $30 each to get up there, even though we were... More

My fiancé (now husband!) & I live in NYC, but chose the Dream Downtown as a place to get ready for our wedding. We couldn't have been happier. Doug and I had two rooms to get ready in separately - the hotel upgraded me to a larger suite, which was great but I actually preferred the smaller platinum king suite... More

I am planning a stay at this hotel in January and was wondering if it had a fireplace in any of the restaurants or bars or lobby? Does anyone also know if there is a contact email or number for this hotel it is no where on their website. Thanks

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
