The problem with this place is that the execution is just off in terms of the mechanics of the hotel. I stayed here years ago when it first opened and they had the wifi phone and TV system that had all sorts of bugs. Half of the time neither worked, the phone may work but you can't use them for... I loved my room!!!! I got there about 10pm. I loved the grafiti wall leading to the club "Electric Room" which sounded like it was banging and popping. I didn't check out either club. When I saw my epic balcony (thanks to JB for hooking me up) I had no desire whatsoever to leave my room. The room is Manhattan... More

We head down to the city one weekend a month, have stayed at all the hotels downtown ...The Dream is by far the best hotel downtown. The location is prime, the staff always goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great. It is now my favorite hotel in downtown NY, if not in all of NYC.

A beautiful designed hotel with great vibe. The room was nice clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location, just by the Chelsea market and the High Line. The Rooftop bar is cool and fun with a nice view of the city. We will definitely return!

I stayed at the Dream last week for 4 nights on a girly trip to NYC with my cousin, unfortunately returning back to London on Thursday :( My stay at the Dream was nothing short of amazing. Would like to say a big thank you to Von for the room upgrade due to our request on facebook! As Von said,... More

We stayed at the Dream over Memorial Day Weekend. Perfect in every way! The front desk staff is phenomenal for a trendy hotel. Warm, welcoming and make you feel at home. Lindsey G. made us feel like we were the most important guests in the hotel - but really I think every guest felt that way! We were greeted each... More

Location is just perfect: metro station is just around the corner, all nice restaurants and happening places are in the walking distance. Room was big for the New York standards and staff was fulfilling all our wishes. Toiletries were great. The less positive thing is that wardrobe was too small. It was hard to organise clothing as we came for... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
