This is a well priced, well located hotel if you have business with the UN in New York. The building is old but completely refurbished to the standards of a 5 star hotel. Note that breakfast is not included in the price and the breakfast buffet (offered on the hotel´s restaurantes) is extremely expensive and probably not worth it (unless... More

This hotel has a wonderful view over the city, close the UN HQ. There was no problem with checking in after midnight and the staff was helpful with all our requests. The hotell is located within walking distance to Grand Central Station, Times Square and Public Library.

We stayed at ONE UN New York for four nights while we were in the city to get married. We let the hotel know this was a kind of honeymoon (we didn't know we were going to get married at that point) and on arrival we found out we were booked into the West Tower which has been recently refurbished.... I stayed at this hotel for NYE in NYC and i wasn't disappointed at all! I really wanted to make this an amazing trip and the view out of my hotel room was....spectacular to say the least! I was 34 floors up in the old tower and when i walked into my hotel room, i was pleasantly surprised! Beautiful room,... More

I rented two rooms for a weekend in NY with my family (Feb 14-16). Since I have 3 kids I asked for double rooms, when I arrived (and after waiting in line for 45 minutes because they only had two rude persons at the registration/lobby) they gave me single rooms and told me that the Hotel was overbook and that... We were upgraded to the west tower on arrival, the staff were always friendly and helpful. The room itself was very nice, spacious with a view of the river/city and Pepsi sign, quiet and comfortable with minibar, iron/ironing boards and coffee maker. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, plenty of delis and restaurants close by and Grand Central... More

Not exactly in a tourist area of mid-town east, you have to go off the beaten track to find this place. I didn't stay in one of the rooms as I was renting an apartment a few blocks away but a colleague took me here for cocktails and it was love at first sip. The bartender knows his way around... More

This was a great hotel with decent size rooms. This was my 1st time to visit NYC, but was told the rooms were very large for NYC. It's just a few blocks from the Grand Central Station, so it was very convenient when getting around.

I got this eerie feeling as I entered that I was the child I was in the 80s; something about the smell of coffee, the glass walls, and the windows, carpets, and bathroom piping in the room got me even further back. Though it looks old (yet well maintained) the view is great from the higher levels, the food is... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
