I had booked this hotel for the views and as it one of the few hotels on Manhattan with a swimming pool. I had expected a view of either the river or of the skyline and to my amazement we had both it was a jaw dropper for my partner on his first visit to this part of NY. We... More

This hotel does not accommodate 4 guests as the rooms have double beds and the suites have a sofa bed which is in a very bad shape. The room was cleaned and some trash from the previous guests was still in the room. The towels were wet for some reason. Any approach to the reception ended with "this is what... More

Stayed at the One UN for 3 nights in August 2014 with the family. We was in the east tower, the room we was given on arrival was ok but the views not great, got given another room no problems. All the staff were polite and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We did try to contact the hotel to... More

The hotel is in a quiet and safe part of manhattan and is a 20-25 min walk to some of New Yorks great attractions. Staff were nice and friendly on arrival. Hotel from outside is good to look at , even reception is nice. However, rooms are hideous. There were marks all over the carpet, walls and the roof ,... More

Our view from the 34th floor over the United Nations and the East River was lovely. Room was quiet, well appointed without being luxurious. Limited TV access. $12.95 daily cost for wifi. Nice shop to pick up snacks. Great doormen, porters and security. K-9 unit is on the job 24/7. I saw the policeman and his dog requested to sniff... More

The two full walls of windows gave the most spectacular view of the East River and the city. The rest was disappointing. The service was lacking, taking three calls to obtain three wine glasses. It took two calls to get an air conditioning engineer to check the unit. Faxing a pre-order and a letter of commendation for the booking agent... More

Spent one evening this week for a business meeting. Upgraded to the West Tower. 39 th floor provided wonderful views of the river and the Empire State Building. What an amazing transformation. The rooms are modern, impeccably designed and extremely clean. Large walk in rain shower, upgraded toiletries and a nespresso machine(why powdered Cremora is offered with such high end coffee... The hotel has a very limited number of rooms with roll-in showers ONLY in the East Tower. The accessible rooms in the West Tower (more expensive) are not accessible for persons who cannot walk at all. Be careful with your reservation, because this is not specified in the online booking service. This is the reason why I am rating this... More

SOME of their staff were friendly, bed was comfy enough, and we had a great view of the city -- but that was it. The room was just okay. We had no ref, no curtains (which I think is important especially when the guests wanted to sleep longer), and no free wifi. If I'm not mistaken, wifi costs around $12... More
