My 4th trip to NYC. This was to celebrate my sons recent graduation from university - he is a fine arts major, so what better place to go! First I will give credit where it is due- the concierge Stephanie(I think) was fantastic went out of her way to get us tickets to Caberet. Also the WIFI CHARGES are ridiculous.... More

Had a reservation for 12/13/14 but when we arrived the pool (which was the main reason we booked this hotel) was under renovation. My family was very upset but the situation was handled so well by the delightful Guest Relations Manager, Ms. Erica Kostic! We will definitely be returning to the lovely place.

I had seen a lot of negative reviews about this hotel especially the East Tower. Prior to our visit, I had tried to contact the hotel by email and had had no response. When I phoned from the UK, all I got was, "your booking is not refundable", so I was feeling a certain amount of misgiving when we arrived... More

My husband and I have just got back from New York, where we spent 3 nights at One UN. We weren't looking for anything lavish, so when we turned up and saw a terrific looking reception area, were really impressed. However...that's about as far as it went. The room was fine - no tea/coffee making facilities and no fridge, but... More

We bid on a 4 star hotel on priceline and this hotel picked up our bid. Of course they stuck us in the East tower which is old and dirty. Our couch in the room was stained and torn, marks all over the walls, smelled musty, worn out bed, windows like a prison cell, just all around not good. I... More

Stayed here with my family in March 2013 when the East tower was under renovation. They upgraded us to the west tower for free. We couldn't have been happier with access to executive lounge with free hot breakfast and free happy hour. Stayed here again in November on a trip to see Macys Day Parade (really cool experience). They offered... More

I called the hotel directly to get some information about the room and amenities. I was curtly told by the front desk staff, upon looking up my reservation, that I had reserved via Hotwire. I already knew that, I just wanted to know if we could get a room with a view and after reading Tripadvisor, a room int he... More

Maybe the west tower is better, but the east tower is in desperate need of an update and a little thought behind room layout. I had to switch rooms because the first room I was in was not very clean and had a bizarre layout with a long, dark hallway, which would have been fine...if there had been working lights.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
