The hotel, soviet in size is a fantastic place if you are looking for a value for money new york experience. It offers all the comforts of a 4 star hotel; some of the decor in the room was a little dated but the size and views from the upper floors are trually breathtaking. We arrived slightly early and left... More

This is a very pleasant value for money experience. We payed $1100 for 8 nights booking directly via hotel's site. The room was really big which i understand is rare for this part of the city. The view was so nice though a bit spoiled by worn-out curtains. The staff is very friendly and professional. We faced problems with linking... More

I do agree witha few posts regarding the rooms being a little tardy. But I have to say, if you can see past that, it has a lot going for it. The bed was very comfortable, and the room huge. The staff were very friendly, and the location was great for me, with most business meetings being within walking distance.... More

Stayed here recently in New York. No lunch options - I checked in and one staff member says to go to the restaurant - I go, then they say they're closed... he advises me to order 24 hour room service... mind you this is for lunch... So I go back to my room... at 1:30 p.m., they then advise me... More

I think this is one of the really good under-rated hotels in New York and if you can get a room for bargain price, you'll get a good deal. Our bright airy room was on the 34th floor overlooking the East River, the UN building and much of the city. The windows are like clerestory windows long along two of... More

I recently stayed at this hotel during a business trip. The king room was very large and spacious, but the room did show some signs of age. The lobby felt very dated as well - lots of black marble and mirrors. Although, I only interacted with them during check-in and check-out, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location... I stay at this hotel regularly as the ratio quality-price is very good. All rooms are from the 25th floor up and have a View: Empire State Building, Hudson River. A great night skyline. Some room are very spacious. Services is not so perfect, always some small problems: lamps, phone non functioning, no bathroom soaps, etc and if you want... More

My friend and I booked a last minute trip to New York. We found a decent price for this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The lobby is beautiful! Marcus at the front desk was extremely helpful! The rooms were slightly dated, but really.. who cares.. youre in New York.. how much time are you spending in... More

The best thing of this hotel is the location. Safe, nice and with everything around. The hotel is clean, old and in my opinion in great need of a renovation. The windows don't open and internet is very expensive. We did not use the swimming pool but it seems to be very good. The breakfast was expensive so we ate... More
