The Conrad in Manhattan is lovely. As soon as you walk in you know the hotel is special; it oozes with modern chic like a Louis Vuitton store. My room was large, the bed comfortable and it has all the modern features I wanted. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They didn't go out of their way to help... More

An exceptional hotel, with great service. Jolene (front desk) was marvelous, making sure we were taken care of for our special occasion trip (40th bday). Beds were so comfy, showers were to die for (love the waterfall effect), plus stunning views, helpful staff, and great location, especially if you don't want to be in the scrum of midtown (it is... I decided to give the Mrs. a weekend in Manhattan as a Christmas 2014 gift. I wanted to make it first class and when I saw a great deal at this 5 star hotel, I grabbed it. She wanted to go to the 911 museum while there, and this hotel is close by, so it all fit nicely. The suite... More

Location is great, rooms were luxurious and decor very modern. We went for a short weekend get away. Walking distance from WTC memorial. The breakfast was just OK. I would definitely eat outside the hotel for dinner. There is a nice wine bar inside and had a descent selection.

We stayed two nights at the Conrad. No complaints whatsoever. The check in process was a breeze, they upgraded us to a river view room at no charge. We had a nice sitting area and the bed was super comfortable and the room very clean. The location is excellent as it was right next to the ferry so that we... More

I wanted to watch a movie but it turns out they don't have on-demand. I figured I could download one onto my iPhone and then show it on the TV using the hotel's app (MyAway). Both the app and the internet connection were so bad it took forever to connect and when it finally did the sound would go on... More

This is a stunning hotel from atrium to rooftop bar to the glorious, modern bar. But unlike most luxury properties, including hip ones like the W, this hotel has a vital energy coursing through it at all hours. It's all the more impressive that this gem is in Battery Park of all places. But above all is the bed. It... More

I booked this hotel through Priceline, and though I am aware that there are some limitations to booking it through a third party site, (eg. no cancellation possible, full prepaiment etc.) I never expected to be completely on my own when it came to having questions about my reservation! I called the hotel to let them know that we had... More

This hotel inside is outstanding and its location is excellent. The rooms are very smart and the free internet was good, no need to upgrade. However some basics they get wrong: The bathrooms have no where to hang the free robes they give you to use, the hooks are in the bedroom just out side the bathroom door. The tea... More

Where do I start, the staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble! I have been to New York a few times now and have always stayed here and when I next return I will stay again. I love the fact that it's set out the way of all the busyness because if your not... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
