My son and I stayed here for his birthday. The hotel is steps from ground zero. We took the subway from JFK. It was only a few blocks away from the subway entrance. The rooms and view are amazing. We could see the bay and the statue from our hotel. There is an AMC theater right in the hotel which... More

The hotel met my expectations in every way. Clean, modern, beautiful. But it was the gentlemen in Security that really went above and beyond. I was on my way to the airport, when I realized I'd left my bag of gifts for the family back in the room. Michael and Vincent went up, searched the room, found the items and... More

Checking into the hotel probably took less than a minute. We were impressed by that alone, but when we opened the door to our suite, we thought, "What a nice room." Until we noticed that it was only the living room and we had much more space to explore. The furniture was modern, tasteful, and clean. The layout of the... More

Great downtown location, helpful staff, comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms. Excellent breakfast - a nice change from hotel breakfasts which are often times now are not much better than airline food. Looking forward to my next stay. Good proximity to restaurants, shopping and downtown sites/businesses.

I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel on my first time in NYC. It's literally minutes away by foot to a gorgeous river terrace of the Hudson River. It's right in the middle of many restaurants, delis, a small supermarket and parks. The room size leaves something to be desired as it's advertised as a deluxe suite but... More

Great hotel, great location! Staff went out of their way to honor our request. Rooms are spacious, with sweeping views of The Hudson River. Too bad blinds can't be pulled up, a safety issue, according to the staff. We were on the 14th floor and it was very quiet, no slamming doors etc. Beautiful bathroom with completely separate (huge) rain... More

Didn't do my location research when I booked this, so was surprised to find myself downtown, very downtown. So the location is a downside, no pun intended. There aren't any good restaurants nearby either. A cab ride to midtown will be $20 and uptown $30 The hotel is very modern and cool looking, a rarity for US hotels. Despite my... More

I LOVED staying at this hotel! The rooms were so big and spacious... larger than most of my friends NYC apartments! :) Beautiful view of the water from our room, amazing roof top bar (open seasonally, check ahead of time!) with a view of the water... we loved it. Hotel bar also wonderful, and everything was shiny and new. LOVED... More

Had the pleasure of staying three nights at the Conrad. I usually stay in the Midtown area and thought I would miss the area. I was told the hotel used to be a Embassy Suites and went under total renovation. The rooms have to be some of the largest in the city. It's very modern and full of contemporary art.... More

The hotel is relatively new hotel by New York standards. It has a great location by SOHO and Tribeca. We were NOT offered an upgrade which surprised me. The hotel staff for the most part is good. The rooms are nice and were cleaned each day on time. I would go back, much better than most I have stayed at... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
