This House has individually decorated rooms. Each room is different and much of the furniture is antique with interesting accessories. Book a room that is en-suite so you have a spacious room with a bathroom. The location is convenient to the subway so you can access New York in 15 (Times Square) to 30 minutes (World Trade Center). It is... More

I spent 5 nights here just before Christmas last year. I was surprised at how clean, comfortable and well-equipped my room was, considering it was so affordable. I found the decor to be very eclectic and charming. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I found the location to be very central to all the attractions I wanted to... More

Small and cozy room, clean and bright. All information given by hosts was very useful and the hosts themself were very cheerful and sweet. Location is close to city center(15min by subway to times square), but a little scary after 10 P.M. for europeans )))))) We would not recomend to walk around in evening, although it's not a problem to... Perfect place to Stay in New York. It's been wonderful to visit the church with gospel on Sunday! Just ask the staff, it's all very personal but yet professional! Bus and subway as well as nice restaurants just around the corner. I would always come back!

We stayed for a couple of days in NY at Mont Morris. Everything was nice, the personel with a lot of information regarding nyc, the room very nice decorated, and also some nice surprises that made our stay more enjoyable. If you book it you will never regret it.

Stayed here for the weekend. I arrived well before check in time but they were kind enough to store my luggage in the meantime. Had a cute room and only paid 45 a night. A couple weeks ago I paid 130 a night for a similar sized room at a ymca hostel. I loved it here in Harlem. The neighbourhood... More

Staying in Harlem

Neighborhood Profile
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks. For a taste of a real New York neighborhood, it’s hard to top a visit to Harlem.
