We were there in October, and had a good experience in this hotel. The lobby is nice, the people there very helpful. We were able to get another room as the first one was to the back, where a very loud generator made a lot of noise. The room onto the street we got was good, the street in the... More

If you know Manhattan, you know how cramped everything is! But this is a gem of a hotel in the middle of Manhattan. My room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. It also had a nice little balcony that you could step out to. Not much of a view but I can't complain. The bathroom was very clean, nice and... More

Researched a lot of hotels for our recent vacation in New York and settled on The Gotham. All of the other hotels in this price range seemed to have either dated rooms, smaller rooms, or rooms in not as nice condition. I did not regret my decision. Our room was clean, modern-looking, and was not cramped as many Manhattan hotel... More

The Gotham hotel is a small hotel with clean and modern looking rooms. The location is very good in Midtown Manhattan. Free internet was included in the rate. The room I got was on a low floor facing the back side of the hotel. Not much of a view (basically just a big brick wall of another building). There was... More

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 5 days from the 31st October. Upon arrival we was greeted straight from our taxi by a lovely man that helped us with our cases held doors for us and just treated us with upmost care. The receptionist that checked us in again was so happy and friendly and couldn't be... More

Stayed at this hotel while in NYC for the marathon. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't imagine a better location in Midtown - short walk to 5th Ave, Grand Central Station and Times Square. There were a couple problems with cold showers and HVAC issues, but otherwise the stay was exceptional.... More

I'm going to confess - this hotel caught my eye due to its name. I can confirm it has nothing to do with Batman. It is, however, a lovely little boutiquey hotel located in Midtown within easy walking distance of most Midtown attractions, and only 12 or so blocks from Central Park. It has 24 floors and we were located... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a recent trip to NYC. I booked through Expedia based on previous Trip Advisor reviews. It was better than I expected! The hotel staff were incredibly helpful. They took care of booking our shuttle back to the Newark airport the next day and they even provided us an umbrella since it... More

This hotel has an amazing location - it's actually close to everything we needed to be close to. The distribution of the room is smart and the room is very comfortable and modern. My only con here was with the service in the reception - but overall, great hotel. Would be back.

By NYC standards the room is large. Rented room through Hotwire as a 4 star and was pleased it is a small, boutique hotel- 6 rooms per floor, we were on the 4th floor. Our balcony was dark due to being surrounded by buildings, but since we weren't expecting a balcony it was not an issue. Employees were very nice... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
