my mom and I took our yearly vacation and wanted to be near a lot of attractions. The Gotham hit that mark. We were within about a mile to Central Park, Times Square, Empire State Building, Grand Central Stations, any subway station you needed, Rockafellar Plaza, the list could go on and on. It has a DD next door to... More

My wife and I chose this hotel to stay in for our recent honeymoon in June after hours of research. We don't normally spend a lot on accommodation when we travel abroad however given this was our honeymoon we splashed out far more than we usually would (or could really afford!). We paid extra beforehand to upgrade to a room... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 6/26/15-6/28/15 in room 31. My girlfriend woke up on the 27th with bites on her ankles. We didn't think too much of it until the next day when I woke up with about 5 bites on my leg and ankles as well. I also saw a bed bug at the end of the desk... More

This boutique hotel is above and beyond NYC standards with million dollar views, a luxury comfy bed and a huge multi jet rain shower. We had a private balcony where were drank wine had a view across town. The staff were fabulous and we were more than impressed. A perfect stay! Five star hotel accommodation for budget conscious travelers. A... More

My wife and I recently stayed at The Gotham hotel July 5th-8th 2015. We got a great deal ($720CAN) for three nights which is the main reason we booked it, but only after reading some good reviews on cleanliness on trip advisor. The reviews were bang on! The hotel itself is not your typical big hotel, very New York actually.... More

Nice hotel. Not far from time square. The deserts at Wolfgang's was the best. Free wifi.. The staff was wonderful helpful. We ask for extra towels and luggage rate, to arrange a car for the morning . They did very thing quickly .Great place to stay.

It's my first time in NY so I have this adrenaline thing going on when we (together with my husband, sis-in-law and her bf) finally arrived in this hotel. I'll write down my experience in details to give the other travelers an idea what to expect if ever they'd choose this hotel. 1) Arrival- The doorman greeted us nicely which... More

Nice hotel, modern and very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed during July 4th weekend, most store or cafes on this street were closed. The area was little too quiet. Room was good size for New York City, with a little balcony.

This hotel delivers big on space and comfort. The king room that I had there was spacious with a good size footprint, a lovely terrace, and a big bathroom. The "separate" living area was a nice bonus. I've since returned and will make it my regular hotel when working in the city. My only complaint is that there is no... More

Lots of good things, a few more bad things than we would've liked. Firstly, let me start off by saying the staff were lovely. There were a couple of new recruits who were learning the ropes so we thought perhaps they have a fairly high turnover of staff. Or we'd just booked when a few people had left out of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
