First of all, the location is excellent. Two different subway lines within a half-block. In the middle of the flower district, very pleasant walking through the fragrant and beautiful greenery and flowers that the shops put out on the sidewalks to sell. The hotel staff were top-notch. Always pleasant, eager to assist, knowledgeable about the area. The complimentary breakfast was... More

We just got back from a trip to New York and stayed at the Fairfield Inn Chelsea. It was a great hotel and the staff was amazing! Friendly, always upbeat and genuinely helped us with all of our needs. The location can't be beat, only a few blocks from Macy's, the Empire State Building, and Times Square. The rooms are... More

We had a pleasant stay in the flower district in Chelsea. You arrive on a street, on which the sidewalks overflow with plants, orchids, flowers, and decoratives. Rooms facing the street have a great view of the Empire State Bldg. The rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, bathrooms well appointed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We liked the... Hotel room was extremely small for 3 people at a cost of $400 plus a night. The hotel was on a very noisy street and you could hear everything from the garbage collection, to the wholesale florist receiving their deliveries and neighboring construction. Do not expect for the high price tag a restaraunt, bar lounge, pool on premise etc.

Hello Lilly, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent stay at our hotel. I am sorry to hear that you felt our hotel was overpriced. Hotel rooms in New York City are typically in the $300-$400 at this time of year, and the rate you paid was the best available rate for the dates of... More

We live in Zone A (NYC), and lost power during Sandy. Were desperate for a room. Only thing us desperate refugees from downtown were able to find for Thursday November 1st, and Friday November 2nd was this place. Rates you ask? $416 per night for a basic room, 2nd floor, facing the street. What could we do, we paid. There's... More

Hello Chris, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I always appreciate guest feedback. I can assure you that our hotel did not "gouge" anyone after Hurricane Sandy, as Marriott has a corporate policy against price-gouging, which prohibits all hotels (including ours) from raising rates in excess of normal retail rates sold within the preceding 30 days... With the expectation of East Coast hotels being small, I had prepared my family that the rooms would be small...2 adults 2 small kids. Boy was I wrong. The room was smaller than I had expected and never mind the bathroom...not the cleanest hotel. Small and slow elevators. The staff was nice but with for the price that I had... More

We searched the web for an economical modern hotel in Midtown Manhattan at a value price - lower than most charge. We came across Marriott's Fairfield Inn on West 28th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, at the southern edge of Midtown, just a few blocks south of Macy's and the Empire State Building. The Marriott Fairfield is a modern... More

Took a weekend trip to the city to see a show. This place came in with the right price, but being a bit farther south than I usually stay, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I actually considered not writing a review on this hotel since it may make it harder to book a room next time, but honestly, they deserve all the excellent reviews that they receive.
