This is a relatively new hotel in Chelsea; rooms are reasonably sized, clean and well maintained. Hotel Staff is terrific. I have a team of people that are staying here and we have been impressed with the value for the price compared to a lot of other properties in Manhattan. Free breakfast, which is the typical standard breakfast that Fairfield... More

The hotel actually made our trip to NYC a success. It all started with Leo at the front desk, extremely helpful, all the employees we encountered were above and beyond, especially Leo. Very accommodating, as we were traveling with a 5 yr old and 9 month old twins. The other front desk, maids, maintenance, and food service employees were all... More

Stayed here for a weekend trip and didn't want to pay $350+ which is standard for New York hotels during Christmas shopping season. Hotel looks new. It's on a drab street but the N and R subway lines are only a block away. Decent breakfast included in the rate which is a plus. Rooms are small but OK for a... More

We just returned from a 4 night stay in this hotel. We were a group of 4 ladies and shared a room with 2 double beds. On our arrival, we were told we were given a slightly larger room but they were unable to give us a platinum member upgrade. I was fine with this, knowing upgrades are not always... More

One night stay in the heart of the Flower Market - interesting to see what they are selling at any given hour, often on the sidewalk. Great view from room of Empire State Building all lit up, and bigger than typical for a New York City Fairfield. Nice flat screen TV and good shower although hot water was tough to... More

Good value hotel near macys and maddison square garden. Staff were fabulous and helpful. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Tge roof garden has amazing views as good as a lot if the expensive rooftop bars. Could do with slightly brighter lighting in the bedroom and a bit better space to put clothes away, but it suited us fine and i... More

I can only address the issues we faced in our room and cannot comment about another experience. I found the room we were given very small. It was difficult to maintain a proper warmth in the room. At times we were left with only one bath towel for two people. I tried to take a bath, but the plug leaked... More

Stayed here for 3 weekend nights in fall, 2014. Great accommodations and lodging experience in the true center of Manhattan. Great location and central to all our favorite haunts. Stayed here for one night on business. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and decent size for NYC. Complimentary breakfast was above average. Ask for a room with a view of the Empire State Building if available.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
