The Hyatt staff was very helpful and professional. We were greeted with a smile. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy. The roof top bar has the best view of the Empire State Building. Great photo ops!

Spent 2 nights at the Hyatt Herald Square with friends for a weekend getaway. Beautiful hotel in a great location. Just a couple of blocks away from Macy's. The staff was very friendly and we were checked in ahead of the designated check in time. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are fairly spacious by nyc standards. Very... More

Thanks so much for the wonderful 5 star review of our hotel. We are glad that enjoyed our comfortable beds and awesome location. As for the noise I would like to apologize about what happened to you. I am sure this was very uncomfortable. We are looking at ways to give our guests the best experience they can have when... More

The hotel is located in a central location with the subway a few blocks away. This is a smaller hotel so if you are expecting a larger place with all the amenities, this is not the place for you. The rooms are very small but this is NYC. The hotel is modern and nicely decorated. The staff was incredible, you... More

I have not stayed at a Hyatt in years, but took a chance with this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in a great neighborhood for seeing the sites: it is close to the Empire State Building and Times Square. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I stayed there with my sister, who was visiting NYC for... More

Loved this hotel, ideally located a few blocks from Penn Station, lots of great places to eat within a couple of blocks, beautiful rooftop views, wonderful staff. Highly recommend it for midtown stays.

The Hyatt Herald Square has the most hospitable staff I've ever experienced. It was like we were in the South! Jarrett, Sarah, Zoe, Modu, Brenda, Genesis, Alicia, Victoria all treated us like royalty. They recommended great restaurants that we wouldn't have otherwise known about and touched base with us everyday to make sure we had everything we needed. It felt... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in May and would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone visiting NYC. This modern hotel is very central and about a 10 min walk (max) from Penn Station which is great if travelling in from Newark airport. Other reviews said that rooms were small but again no complaints. Room size was perfect for all... More

When booking this hotel online, I left a note in the comments that it would be my mother-in-law's first trip to the city and asked if it would be possible to get a room on a high floor with a view of the ESB. Not only did we receive just such a room when we checked in, but the hotel... More

We came to Manhattan to witness history at the Belmont Park Race Track. The hotel is close to many major attractions and subway stop (Penn Station, Empire State Building). The staff is amazingly interactive and willing to assist in many ways. The roof deck bar run by Brenda and Alicia is fantastic with wonderful views of the cityscape. Genesis and... More

We made the trip to NYC because it was our daughter’s wish for her 10th birthday to wake up in New York City. We planned on making a family weekend out of it. Unfortunately, our daughter’s medical problems did not allow us to do everything we had planned. The wonderful staff was so understanding and allowed us a few extra... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
