Great location, nice staff, small rooms with common Hyatt modern touch. Top floor bar has nice view and modem music. Few rooms have nice view. View of Empire State Building from roof bar. Not too busy, at least does not seem to be, will stay again.

We visited the Hyatt Herald shown to us by Restaurant.com, and we really enjoy the night at the "up bar". Entering the door we were greeted by the desk staffs that makes your welcome worth going there. The place is well kept and the food is delicious, thanks Gonzales and that nice young lady working hard and with a pleasant... More

This hotel is close to great shopping and eating places and has very effective staff. We visited New York to take care of my daughter's college move in day at New York University. It was nice that this is close to a lot of commute options (taxi, bus or subway). The room is clean and the internet connection was great.

It's just the perfect location in NYC, friendly staff, beautiful terrace . Very quiet with very comfortable bed, modern bathroom with soft towels and good amenities . Rooms are small but there is everything you need . I would definitely go back ...

The staff is super responsive and helpful. The rooms are small but well-appointed - very comfortable and elegant. The immediate block outside isn't the best, but it's easy to travel to anywhere in Manhattan. And the busy street means your safe coming back even in the wee hours.

I have noted in prior reviews that I travel a great deal and have stayed at many hotels, but seldom do I find myself being pulled back to a particular hotel. The Hyatt at Herald Place is that one such hotel. In many ways this hotel is like many NY hotels, with smallest rooms, but what makes my experience note... More

Give this hotel six stars! The staff are welcoming, polite and helpful. The room is modern, updated, with an excellent bathroom, air conditioning that works, and sound proofing that made you forget you were in the middle of the city. I have a new favorite hotel in Manhattan, and it's the Hyatt Herald Square!

Hotel is located in mid-manhatten with 5 minutes waking to nearest subway station. Fitness center was ok. I had issues with hot water even when the hotel changed my room to different one. Staff are available to serve. it is a city hotel with average services. i have experienced noised from bathroom and air-condition especially at night. Coffee machines is... More

The staff was the highlight of this hotel. The downstairs lobby is very clean and inviting with plenty of free copies of The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times available on your way in or out. The rooms were not as sparkling as they appeared online but were very clean. Ladies, not a lot of hanging space for... More

Alexandra, Thanks for your 4 star review. The issue you experienced with smells was due to a guest next to you who decided to use incense in his room, which is against our policies. We love the feedback and use this to make ourselves better in the future. Regards, Joseph More

Mid-town location right beside the Empire State Building. Great views from the rooftop bar. The hotel has a nice boutiquey feel, but it's completely undermined by the appallingly bad commercial trash club music that is incessantly and unrelentingly blasted out throughout the hotel. Also the hollandaise sauce on their eggs Benedict was way too vinergary and suspiciously looked of food... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
