My husband and I stayed at The Jewel Hotel facing Rockefeller Center and it was a "Jewel"!!! Our room was on the 15th floor=top floor and the view was AMAZING!! Out one of our floor to ceiling windows we could see the small row of lighted Christmas Trees that lit the path to THE TREE (note: you cannot see THE... More

The location at this boutique hotel cannot be beat. It's amazing. If you are a shopper, you less than 1 block from 5th Avenue and across from Rockerfeller Center. The room: My initial room was really small and facing a building. They immediately honored my request for a bigger room, which was a minimal $20 up-charge. This room was a... More

Simple, modern, straight forward boutique hotel in fabulous mid-town location, across the street from the north promenade of Rockefeller Center and just down the block from Radio City Music Hall. You are literally just steps from two prominent eating establishments, Johnny Utah's and The Terrace. While there is no room service, per se, the hotel offers delivery service from local... More

This hotel has it all! Nice staff - Cleanliness - Great Accomodations.. I can go on and on. We arrived around 1pm, they tagged our bags and said when we return at 3 our room would be ready and our bags would already be in our room. We returned around 2:45, were given our room and elevator keys. They conserve... More

Stopped at this smart boutique style hotel from Monday December 5th until Sunday December 11th. We wanted a place as close to the famous "Christmas Tree" as we could get due to my knee injury. Well I believe in telling it as I see it so here goes, this hotel was fantastic. Smart, modern and with just the right amount... More

My wife and I went to NYC for our honeymoon and stayed here. It would have been decent had it not been for the rude staff and manager. We had to pay for a night we couldn't be there because New York completely shut down all incoming flights. We told them we would stay an extra night to make up... More

We booked the Jewel, sight unseen, based on reviews on Hotels.com and Trip Advisor. It was everything I had hoped for. The Jewel provides a good clean room with a refrigerator and a simple bathroom -- nicely stylish digs, typical boutique hotel design, very limited amenities. You do have access to the Terrace Club next door for discounted meals and... More

We had a 2 bed-room apartment for the 4 of us during our stay. Location was perfect. Bedrooms and living room a bit small but that was to be expected. There were 2 bathrooms which was a happy surprise. Clean linens and room service did not stinge on bath towels (we had 4 fresh towels per day per bathroom). Air... More

The hotel itself is on a street wich is not that busy with noisy trafic. We arrived very early in the morning and they provided us with a room anyway. As this was next to the airco installations, we asked for a new one, wich they had ready for us at 13.00. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
