Decided to book this hotel, for a four night stay, after reading Trip Advisor comments. Location is opposite Rockefeller Plaza so is ideal for exploring New York. Access to the hotel is through what appears to be a small door on 51st street and into a small reception area - modern décor and totally fit for purpose. We were immediately... More

Enjoyable 4 night stay in this hotel in early October. The rooms are plenty big enough with excellent decor and clever use of space. Very clean with comfortable beds and little noise. Great location if you are a tourist and the free wifi and coffee is a great touch. Best of all is that the staff are so friendly and... More

The room had a balcony looking out over Rockefeller Center and the spires of St. Patrick's Cathedral. While not roomy, the bed was comfortable, the shower terrific (for two); only drawback was no reading light on one side of bed, Breakfast ample at sister hotel next door,

Stayed for 3nights. Very good location and good facilities . Free cold water on every floor and a small but effective gym . Air conditioning. The small kitchenette is very helpful for families .About 5 minutes walk to Time Square. The reception girls are very helpful. We will be back.

Rating this as 5 stars because it delivers on what it claims to be, not because it is any grand luxury experience. I've seen other reviews here that describe the rooms as tiny and the building being old and not having good views. This is all true, but it's also priced to take those things into account. Everything in the... More

I was in New York for a business trip that involved seeing a lot of theater. The Jewel was in an almost ideal location, a short walk to the theater district and four blocks from the 6 train to get to The Public Theater. Also nearby were 5th Avenue shops (including Saks), St. Patrick's Cathedral, St. Bart's Church, MoMA and... More

An excellent location close to downtown 5th avenue and broadway facing Rockfeller center and near St Patrick church. Rooms are aceptable size but I was there during COMICON week , and prices were booming : 364$ ++++, which is expansive for this kind of hotel . In a normal period it shoud be more acfordable , and more in relation... More

We stayed one night at the Jewel on our trip to NYC last month. (The earlier part of the week we stayed in Soho) I was pleasantly surprised by this boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly upon check in.. and our room was fantastic.. with a patio overlooking Rockefeller Centre. The rooms are small...but for one night it was... More

What a wonderful hotel! As soon as you step through the front doors, you realize that all of the hustle and bustle of the city has been left behind. I loved coming back to this hotel at the end of a long day of sightseeing. It was so quite, and our view was amazing! There is even a great lunch... More
