We stayed one Saturday night; checked in in the afternoon and left at noon the next day. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although there is not much of a lobby, the lounge of the 2nd floor makes up for that. The room was a little small, but was configured very... More

I stayed here in January 2015 and was really pleasantly surprised. The hotel room although small was very well appointed and the hotel had thought of everything and had used the available space to perfection cramming in a lot of extra touches such as a coffee machine multiple charging and sub points, free bottled water etc. The views from my... My husband and I just stayed at the Jewel this past weekend. The room was on the 6th floor, corner room facing Radio city and Rockefeller Plaza. Attention to detail was apparent, from beautiful tile in the bathroom to the unique design of the end table. Yes, the room is small, but you can tell that they put alot of... More

My wife and I stayed here to see snl, the staff was super friendly, the room was perfectly clean, loved the bathroom, incredible view. The ONLY issue was the bed. It was king wide, but SHORT. I'm 6'5" and just under my knees hung off. Also the bed was rock hard. Maybe time to update the mattress? Beyond that I... More

We stayed at the jewel from 30th Dec - 6th Jan. We arrived after a long flight to be happily greeted at the hotel. We were given a choice of two rooms; one on the 8th floor with no view or on the top floor (15th) with a nice view. We chose the room on the 15th floor which meant... More

This hotel is a hidden treasuer in the middle of everything exciting in the NYC. You cant beat the location - just around a corner from the Tree. When they say it is facing the Rock it is really facing the Rock. I saw Noguchi's News from our room. Amaizing. If you can choose pick a room with the view,... More

This hotel is located centrally, close to Times Square, great restaurant variety and shopping stores as well on 5th avenue. There is also a 24hr Duane reade on the same block/street if you're looking for daily supplies like milk or juice. The hotel is quiet and staff is friendly. It's very small so don't expect concierge service etc. like in... More

We chose this as we wanted to be near Rockefeller at Christmas. It fitted the bill, now there are some exclusions. If you do like to come back after a hard day's shopping to a hotel room with legroom then this is not for you! It is however a well maintained, friendly, clean and adequate hotel with near perfect location.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
