What a complete dump! We should’ve stayed in the house we are demolishing. It would’ve been cleaner. The drain in the Shower didn’t work, everything was outdated, beat up and filthy! I never write reviews but here I am warning my fellow hardworking Americans. Stay away!!🤮🤮🤮🤮

Do not be fooled by the nice photos. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Just don't. The rooms are designed poorly and the bathroom is forget about it! Everything is subpar except the front desk person who was very nice. You can thank me later.

Only one of the front desk staff was nice, the rest were rude and unhelpful. Everything about that place was horrible. The best thing about that stay was the other guests, nice and helpful!! I would NEVER go back.

The best thing about Aloft Harlem is the people who work there. The front desk folk, housekeeping staff, & every one else we encountered, lovely people. I appreciated the service and kindness. The rooms are dated, carpet old, bathroom had moldy spots on the ceiling and wall. We were attending a convention and the Aloft had many of the participants. The overall consensus: all of the showers leaked onto the bathroom floor. There is a general need for some upgrading.

My first business trip to Queens and wasn’t sure how the Marriott properties would compare to the rest of the US, but even w all the construction in the area, crazy streets and nationalities from every walk, the Aloft was my refuge. Truly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in along with a staff that saw to each of my two weeks were perfect. Kim initially greeted us and made me feel very welcome, Urna took care of us for breakfast each morning, Robert was there with a smile in the evenings. I would name every staff member if my memory was better, from bar to lobby, not one bad experience. Marriott needs this staff in every one of their properties!!

The Aloft is a perfect hotel for a short visit to NYC. The rooms are quite large by New York standards, with surprising amounts of natural light. The bar/lobby/market area has a clean, modern feel and the staff at the reception are attentive and excellent. It's right by great bars and restaurants, try Sugar Monk next door for amazing cocktails.

I stayed here last year in April with my niece for the first time. I had to return in July of this year with hubby for his first New York visit. This location is ideal to walk everywhere local or catch Uber or subway. Perfect for us as my mom lives in Harlem only a 15 minute walk or $8 Uber. Lots of restaurants and stores up and down 125th right up the street. Old navy H&M CVS Burlington to name a few. We enjoyed the quiet location and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a bar on site and they offer bar food wings and such. They also have light hot breakfast available for purchase as well as a few items they stock for snacking. There is a refrigerator in the room but no microwave. We used the one in the lobby for popcorn and leftovers. The rooms are large with a king bed TV a desk and chair and adequate closet space. A large walk in shower with plush towels. If business or pleasure brings you to Harlem this is where you should book.

Really comfortable hotel. The room is big, decor is quit updated, the bed is really comfortable. The little vending space ate the lobby is very convenient. The gym is ok, nice equipments. I was there to attend a course at Columbia Business School, and the location was perfect, walking distance (about 15 min walk). Many options of public transport nearby (Subway A and C 1 block away, Subways 2 and 3 2 blocks away). Staff was really friendly and helpful. The only thing is that the shower pressure could be better, but that is just a detail.

My child and I stayed here while visiting Columbia for a college tour. The room was relatively small, as expected for NYC, but clean and fine. It was a little more of a walk than we wanted every day, but walkable. Sometimes we took a Lyft. We didn’t try any of the food options at the hotel. It was a fine stay. No complaints about the hotel. (We didn’t have a car with us so I can’t speak to parking.)

We booked a 3 night stay in a king bed. Ambassador status recognition is typically minimal at this brand as there aren't any real upgrades, but you do receive a $10 breakfast voucher per person, per day. They also honored our preferences of being on a high floor and away from the elevators. The front desk was very friendly and we found the service to be great throughout our stay. Also housekeeping came daily and did a good job. None of the rooms have views, ours faced a brick wall. The room itself is in need of a refresh soon as it's started to feel worn out. The biggest negative for us was the air-conditioner vents were positioned at the foot of the bed which meant that while we were sleeping they blew right on us all night. It was uncomfortable to have air blowing on us all night so we'd go out to dinner in the evening and turn down the air to cool the room off and sleep without the AC on. It seemed to work but wasn't ideal as NYC can be muggy in the summer. I couldn't imagine if it was winter and to have heat blowing on you all night. The internet was fast and reliable. There was a long desk against the wall so we could both have a workspace with one person using a computer chair and for the second person using a stool that was in the room.
