Very nice place. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and snacks handy. The onsite bar was great. It was quiet and a good place to hang out while we were there. The staff was helpful when it came to directions. The location great for restaurants in the area. Would recommend to anyone needing to stay in Harlem. There were a... More

My wife and I spent a week at the Aloft in Harlem. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was really just a place to sleep as my wife was either at Columbia for a conference or we were out on the town seeing the sites. It was the perfect place for our needs. Location: Situated in Harlem some people might... More

This hotel never disappoints. The rooms are clean and well-attended, the staff are friendly, and the location is perfect for access to the A train and buses to the rest of the city. While there is no hotel restaurant, the lobby lounge area has a great bar and small meal items; it's a comfortable space for adults. I look forward... More

Aloft Harlem was selected by our organization as the official hotel for our 2015 training program and am I ever glad! A stellar property with great attention to detail. Have stayed a total of 8 nights so far and only one or two minor glitches. I highly recommend it.

Stay for one night while attending party in Harlem. The party was a brunch at 11:00am at 109th Street and the staff at the Aloft were able to accomodate my request for early check-in, so I could drop off my bags and get to the party. Thank you! Our room was small but adequate enough for our one night. Hotel... More

We stayed in room 305, the air con was a little noisy, but didn't bother me at night as I wear earplugs. Nice loft style room, we had no street noise. Staff were plentiful, friendly & helpful. About 10 mins on express A train to Columbus. There was a small breakfast available, it suited us, but it wasn't a sit... More

Fist timer to this establishment . Scandinavian Decor is modern, upscale and chic. The colors, lighting and layout make for a lovely vibe . I can't remember when I had more kindness, courtesy and professionalism from the entire staff. On arriving, I found out the reservation I made in February incorrectly gave us one king size bed instead of the... More

Perfect for NY business travel. The hotel is a block away from the A train - one stop downtown to Columbus Circle for business in midtown. I was given a quiet, spacious -- especially for NYC -- room on the top floor. Fast wifi.

My honey and I did a weekend getaway here to attend a comedy show at Madison Square Garden. The Uber from this part of Harlem was about $25 each way… which to me was worth it to not have to fight traffic and parking. The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy so if you're easily rattled I wouldn't... More

Only blocks from a subway stop and busy 125th St. is this marvelous hotel. Check in is not your usual with staff right up front and even keys work a little differently. Spacious room for NYC with everything a traveler could ask for.

Staying in Harlem

Neighborhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores.
