This is a adequate hotel. The location is great for financial district proximity. A few challenges for some might be; - 3 elevators for 40 floors - long waits ensue - noisy rooms by the elevators as they ding on every floor - limited fitness center; 3 treadmills and 2 ellipticals.

Far below what I expected from a 4-star hotel at $200+ per night... especially a DoubleTree. Condition of room was poor (scratch and dent furniture, curtain pulled from bar, filthy windows, etc.) and the HVAC system squealed like a police siren all night. A room service tray in the hall remained untouched for 36 hours. Elevators are painfully slow, rooms... More

Stayed here on a weekend trip to the city. It is conveniently located near the subway. Parking was only a half block away and the validated it. Never tried the restraunt because I hate eating in the hotel. There are so many better places to eat. The staff was great, very friendly. The room was quiet and clean. Was very... More

I stay at the doubletree on occasion since its conveniently located a couple blocks from my office. Maybe I'm arriving at off-times but there's always been only 1-2 people working the front desk, nobody at the HHonors line, and 2-3 people ahead of me. The cookies and water at check in are a nice touch though and the breakfast as... More

Certainly not a 4 star. Rooms are pokey. Carry your own bags. Wade over drunken revellers at the ground floor level to get to the lobby at the second floor. Can't eat in the in house restaurant - as for two nights in a row it has been closed for private parties. Hotel says they have no control over it... More

If you're on a biz trip in the financial district and you love cookies then this is the perfect hotel for you :) location wise it's pretty discreet and don't expect any fancy decorations etc. however the service was nice and the room pretty clean. As with most New York hotels the AC makes a lot of noise when you... More

Stayed in December, not great value for money. small rooms which are in need of refreshment. service is good. there are only three lifts for a high-rise building so the wait can be long. good location for business and sightseeing.

I stayed here for 5 days with my partner while on a multi stop trip across various countries. This was by far the nicest hotel we visited. On arrival at the hotel from JFK ( which was a set cost in an NYC Taxi - good value to anywhere in manhattan) we were greeted by the doorman who assisted with... More

This hotel was booked at the last minute for a spontaneous trip to NYC for a concert. It fit all our needs for the night, was in a great location that was easily accessible to the subway and tons of attractions, was very clean and the price was right. The staff, (as well as just about everyone we encountered in... More

Very tight - no room for a shaving kit in the bathroon. I had a noisy ventilation system somewhere above me. Elevators very slow because of use I suppose. Be very careful when booking - you may be surprised to see the rate double on the second night if you do not check carefully. Also, beware of the restaurant on... More
