Stayed here back in June on business. Had a wonderful stay! Good sized rooms for NYC, plus a kitchen as a bonus! Comp breakfast and reception hour (wine, beer & food on weekdays). Clean rooms, great location and just about 2-3 minutes walking distance from Times Square. Will stay here again!

Location- Great Rooms- Lacking- ours doesn't even have a dresser. Elevators- Ridiculous - Not enough elevators to accomodate the number of guests. Breakfast- included, but hours are too short- causing a school house rush to the cafeteria experience. I typically LOVE Westin/Starwood hotels--would not stay here again.

Clean, modern, great location, friendly helpful staff. Few blocks to Time Square. About ten minute walk to Rockefeller Center, Macy's, Bryant Park and Fifth Ave. shops. Only bad thing is elevators are slow. Also, I was on the 39th floor and could hear police and ambulance sirens but then again thats NYC.

Spent a week at the element and it was great. Great stuff friendly anf helpful. The room a bit tiny but it was ok. Decorat with advance style, there's a kitchen with full equipment to do food even a dish washer. An excellent breakfast include in the price and beverages and small dinner at 17:30 between Monday to Thursday. There's... More

This hotel was a real find. It was close to our theatre and numerous restaurants. Easy walk to Herald Square and Macy's. Not too far from Rockefeller Center and Fifth ave. shops. Bryant Park is only a ten minute walk and is wonderful during Christmas with all its shops and things to eat. We got a rate under 100 dollars,... More

Great hotel close to times sqaure, this hotel offered free breakfast, which was very basic but free, it also has a happy hour from 5.30 -6pm that gives you free beer and wine and nibblies which was fantastic , free coffee and tea at the front lobby when you want it, this hotel has a great atmosphere and I would... I have stayed here choice based on location (very central and close to many things) and a price that wasn't totally over the top. The rooms are small as is normal in this city but the higher up ones have a great view. Small terrace on top of the hotel is an added attraction with great views. The reception staff... More

Element is in a good location for Times Square and Broadway. The rooms are clean and modern. The elevators cannot accommodate the number of people occupying 420 rooms and the wait time is unacceptable. The breakfast is plentiful but it's like a high school lunch room, crowded. Staff tries very hard to make things right.

Nice location, clean, and pretty typical (size-wise) for NY run-of-the-mill hotel rooms. Fairly noisy, but I didn't quite notice the elevator delays others seem to share. Hotel staff (front desk to room servicing): outstanding. Very friendly and accommodating. Big plus!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
