Stayed at the Element for our first trip to New York to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Requested a lower floor when we booked and were put on the 6th floor which was perfect! The room was great with a small kitchen and bathroom with large walk in shower. We only used the lift twice during our stay only to... More

I've just returned from spending 7 nights in NYC with my girlfriend. We stayed at Element Times Square West and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Our room was brilliant - fresh, clean, and tidy, with a fully-equipped kitchen area including a large fridge-freezer unit; all staff were extremely warm, friendly and accommodating; the breakfast spread in the morning... So, you want to stay in the heart of Times Square but don't want to spend a fortune? This is likely the hotel for you. I wouldn't exactly call this a "boutique hotel." The rooms are basic but clean, and some have the option of a double bed, which is a plus for travelling families. The little kitchenette is also... More

This hotel is stunning! It is a boutique type hotel, perfect for couples, families, friends. Would suit all ages. The rooms are basically mini apartments which include an open plan kitchen and bedroom area and a bathroom. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the bed linen is crisp white and fresh and beds are extremely comfortable. The Element hotel is chic,... More

Location: on 39th street and 8 ave. Not right in the middle of Times Square but walking distance. Away from the noise and crowds but still near to all the attractions in Times Square. Food: plenty nearby. Mostly western. Walk to 9 ave and 45 street. Try Yum Yum thai resto and Obao vietnamese. Tasty. Subway: just 1 block away.... More

My son and I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Would've given 5/5 review if requests for air conditioning maintenance were addressed by engineering. Reported 3x that water was pooling under the bed due to leaky a/c unit (I just kept laying towels to sop up the mess). Didn't bother me but I... More

By NYC standards, our room was a decent size. It was modern, comfortable, and included a fridge, stove, and microwave....right next to the bed of course. Breakfast and happy hour (drinks and heavy snacks) were included, though most items were obviously heated frozen foods. When I asked for a coke I was given a warm can with no cup or... More

I was fairly disappointed in this hotel. Besides the location (good central location) and good staff, this is a 40 story hotel with probably well over 400 rooms but 3 elevators. Everyday I had to wait a very long time for the elevators. Even when they arrived they did not work well. The breakfast area is a zoo. I am... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your stay. As an SPG Platinum member, you have exceptional insight as a traveler. Our elevator wait times reflect heavy usage during higher demand times, and weight sensors help get the elevators to the lobby faster when they are full (sometimes bypass a floor to avoid delay). I apologize for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
