We spent a week here in a family room with two double beds. The room is compact but not at all bad for a city centre hotel. There was a kitchenette area with hob, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher and huge fridge. Bathroom was clean and well lit with a good sized shower. There was plenty of hot water and... This hotel was everything I didn't expect for a night in the city. I was pleasantly greeted at check in and when I opened my door on the 22nd floor my wife and I couldn't believe the room. It was like a studio apartment. Full kitchen dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer electric stove, utensils unreal. Super clean and will definitely return... More

We stayed at the Elements hotel for one night last week using Starwood points. The hotel location was good in that the subway stop was 1 block away and it was a 5 minute walk to the crowds of Times Square. The room was very small but it had all the essentials and surprisingly a full kitchen. I don't know... More

First, an outstanding location, close to theatre, restaurants subways with breakfast and mid week evening reception, Problem is elevators would wiz right by sometimes for over ten minutes. Low rooms on front are disturbed all night by garbage pickup. Some room configurations make it impossible to walk on one side of the bed. Finally our third room was satisfactory, but... More

As the Element brand is one of the latest additions to the SPG portfolio the rooms were in pretty good shape. Swift check-in and they had kept all my packages though they arrived a few days prior to my stay. It gets quite busy and do allow time to get space in the super busy lifts.

My Husband, son and I stayed in this hotel over Easter. We pulled up at the hotel and my heart sank we had paid£1800 for 5 nights stay and I was expecting great things. The outside of the hotel is nothing impressive. Once we got inside we where greeted with a small lobby which had no atmosphere at all and... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in April. As our first trip to NYC we wanted to stay somewhere central as we had lots to see and do. Element hotel is in a great location, it is a few minute walk from times square, but far enough away so that you can have a good sleep at night. We still... More

A well situated Manhatten hotel with complimentary tea and coffee in the foyer. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but that's true of most New York hotels. There is a small rooftop Garden that gives you very good views of Manhatten

I am almost at the end of a 14-night stay and have loved this hotel! What I've liked - the location (right near Times Square and the theatre district and the subway), the view of the Empire State Building and Freedom Tower and river from my room on the 40th floor, the comfortable bed and pillows and good quality bed... This hotel was handily placed just off Times Square, although when our driver dropped us off I found the exterior off putting. But once inside checking in with the friendly staff and seeing our room my worries eased. Some other reviews I read moaned about the size of the rooms. c`mon guests are mostly tourists who want a decent room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
