I found the staff at this hotel very helpful. Before leaving for NYC I emailed the hotel looking for the easiest way to get there from JFK airport. They answered me within a few hours. When we got to the airport we looked for the shuttle that would drop us at Grand Central Station. This cost $15. There was none... More

Still a bit of construction, and there must have been a flood on my floor as the rug was wet, but if the price was right, I would stay here every time I am in New York! First, the staff are outstanding! Genuinely nice, friendly, helpful, and proud of where they work. The rooms have everything you need and is... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night in June 2011. We arrived at 09:30 am, before check in time but this was no problem for the staff. We were able to check in as normal and a room became available about an hour later. The hotel is ideally located for Times Square. The concierge service is great, there... More

Being the first time to NYC my wife and I were unsure what response we would have from New Yorkers and what a good location would be. When we arrived at Cassa we were greeted warmly at the door and at the front desk. Abraham checked us in promptly and efficiently and it was obvious he enjoyed being part our... More

We did get a good rate on Hotwire for this hotel, but the bed was TOO small! We had the option to pay 50 dollars more for a queen. We thought this was too much to pay for that size bed. We were disappointed that others here who posted here got free upgrades but we did not. It would seem... More

We had a tiring 5 days in NYC from this excellent location, right between Times Square and 5th Ave. Reception staff were excellent and especially Eric, who helped us out with info & dinner bookings. The room was very clean (and I am OCD) and the air con was definitely required! My only criticism was the fact that the bed... More

There is a bit of a design problem with this hotel that is more or less a deal killer. Only two elevators service more than 30 floors. When I arrived back after work at around 6:30, after walking 8 blocks in the NY summer heat carrying my laptop bag, one of the elevators was broken and there was a long... More

Rating is 3 1/2. Unfamiliar with the hotel but very familiar with the area combined with my urgent need for a room, and prices outrageous in the city during this week, I took advantage of a low rate I found on Quikbook. Perfect location, attentive front desk staff and an upgrade to one of their condos had me thinking that... More

This hotel was a surprise. It had everything - - great location, helpful & courteous staff, comfortable & clean rooms, and for NYC standards, large rooms - - and all at a great price. What a find! We will definitelyuse thisplace again.

We wanted a more 'boutique' experience from our NYC trip...but with all the mod cons and comfort. This hotel had outstanding comfort and space right in the centre of Times Square precinct. On a previous stay we used the Westin Times Square which was great...but the Cassa gave us all the comfort and location, but more intimate and...well... cheaper! The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
