Cassa Hotel is another "hipster" hotel in the lineage of the type of design inaugurated by Ian Schrager. From the perspective of the young adventure traveler, rooms are sleek, modern and cool. But from the perspective of a seasoned traveler, they're sparse, under-furnished and inspired by IKEA. Even upgraded rooms have one chair, no dresser, no iron, and limited size.... More

ALLwas perfect: location, value-for-your-money-in-New York, service, clean, everything. I can certainly recommend this hotel. Take it from a new yorker myself! Around the corner from Times Square, yet on a quiet street. Nice restaurants on the same block too. Don't miss the second-hand bookshop right across the street or the cuban restaurant a bit further down the street too. Excellent!

Claim to be boutique hotels somehow seems to absolve many Manhattan hotels for using cheap plastic furniture, lesser quality room items and poor design. However, The Cassa truly is a high quality boutique hotel with high quality appointments. Although a typically smaller New York City room, it was set up so well that it had more usable space than many... More

Location is great with Broadway, 5th Ave, Times Sq etc just a few minutes walk away. Rooms not super luxurious and a little dark but clean and nice enough. My room was on the 26th floor so no outside noise issues. No breakfast served here but there are plenty of places just a few yards away so not really an... More

Johnnythirkell, Thank you for your feedback. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the location and found the beds to be the best you have ever slept in, With regards to breakfast, I am looking into the matter as our on-site restaurant, Butter, offers an enhanced continental breakfast each morning. As for the internet, I apologize for the extremely slow... More

We stayed here back in November and found it to be a handy, pleasant place to stay. The room was a good size and we were not bombarded with traffic noise (I believe we were on the 4th floor). I found the staff to be consistently smiley and helpful throughout. The location is very convenient for most major attractions and... More

This quiet little hotel is in a good location midway between Central Park and the Empire State Building, and between Times Square and Grand Central Terminal. It's a couple of short blocks from the red/orange subway lines and a couple of long blocks from the blue lines. It's sort of a hole in the wall without a regular lobby, but... More

Candalaria, Thank you for the thorough review. I am delighted that you found our location convenient and our staff helpful and friendly. I was disappointed to learn that, in terms of your experience with Houskeeping, we missed the mark. While housekeeping service is provided daily from 9am-5:30pm, if you have a preferred time of service, please let Guest Services know... More

Amazing location between the 5th and 6th avenues. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. No big noice, even if you are in NY. Pleasant people and hot coffee for free every morning. Not a 5 because of the cost of breakfast and because of the overall cost; again, you are in NY!

Great location, friendly staff, complementary internet, very helpful concierge service, not very flexible on late checkouts! Max was one complementary hour any thing more than that would be charged for, half a day for two hours more and full day there after. The hotel has only two elevators, which is a bit of wait to get one. moreover, the hotel... More

I was disappointed with everything about this hotel other than the location, which is fantastic. You are a stone's throw from Times Square and the street is quiet, so you will sleep well. Service was below average. Don't expect helps with your bags as you're checking in or an efficient check-in process; I just didn't feel welcomed or adequately helped.... More

My fiancé and I stayed at the hotel from Friday April 24th thru Monday April 27th. We had a great stay. Our room on the 22nd floor was cozy. The room is small, however, we had no issue with the room size. It was very clean and comfortable. The room had a safe and a small refrigerator. The bed was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
