This is one of 3 hotels I've stayed at in NYC and whilst I loved the others (The Standard Highline and the Standard Soho), the Mondrian is the winner for me. It combines the great elements of the other great hotels, with the additional fact that it is super affordable (relatively) for what you get. I stayed at the Mondrian... More

Stayed at Mondrian SoHo in january 2014 with my girlfriend. Great rooms with a great view of the city, we hade a room facing Brooklyn. The staff was really good and help us with anything we needed(from bookning tickets to arrange transport to Newark). The hotels location i perfect, close to broadway and several different subways stations. We will be... More

...anyone with class will be overwhelmed by the "bling" that attempts to cover up for the thin walls and small rooms. Even at a discounted rate I would choose stay elsewhere. The rooms are small and oddly shaped with bathrooms that are very small. TVs are off certain end from beds so be prepared to have only one person see... More

Hotels in NYC can be tricky business, but this hotel was just wonderful, our room had a decent size and the bed (king size) was really comfortable. The location was awesome, close to Broadway for shopping and eating - and close to the subway. The breakfast was lovely too. In the evenings the clientele was trendy and funky, and the... More

Hip, fun little high-end place to stay in Soho -especially if you're a 20 or 30 something looking for a great spot to dress up and hang out. The rooms are nice but could definitely use some attention to detail. Our room was on the higher floors with good views and it was very light (lots of windows, but some... More

While the location is ideal when choosing Soho, as a "nesting "place to visit NYC, I was a bit disappointed by the small size of the room AND the lack of a single chair !! The bedding is plush and very comfortable while the bathroom sink was too small and rather out of place ! However, the friendliness and efficiency... More

I love this place. I love the style. I love the white, crisp rooms and all of the quirky interior details. My room had views up and down Manhattan and was the most tranquil of places to watch the sun go down from high up above the city. It is a lot of fun and clearly suited to a certain... More

stayed here for 1 night. I understand this is a hip, designer hotel, but for the money I paid I was rather hoping for a slightly bigger room, not a room where I can barely open up my large suitcase. The space is very cramped, including the tiny counter which doubles as both my bathroom sink as well as the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Inspired by Jean Cocteau’s cinematic interpretation of the tale of “La Belle et la Bête”, Mondrian SoHo is yet another innovative vision by Benjamin Noriega Ortiz. With Mondrian’s design, Noriega awakens the imagination and invites guests into a fantasy that offers an escape. The hotel boasts a mesmerizing ambiance that captures the sparkling charm and romance of New York, Isola Trattoria & Crudo Bar - a Coastal Italian restaurant with food and ambience inspired by the Amalfi Coast, Italian Riviera and Sicily. Mister H - an intimate downtown nightlife concept inspired by old New York, and 270 guest rooms - each with stunning views wrapping around the island of Manhattan, custom-designed bath fixtures, and a clever nod to the tale here and there. All guest rooms at Mondrian are non-smoking rooms. ... more   less
