The hotel is very designer-y and chic. The rooms are tiny, but brightly designed. The small spaces are well-used. However, the rooms are not quiet at all. I could hear my neighbor next-door breathing in his sleep and I couls hear him farting. Not kidding - wish I was. Need better sound-proofing between rooms!

I travel to the city several times a year and am always searching for the perfect experience. I want luxury, a mind-blowing view, and a shower or tub with an equally mind-blowing view. I need a separate space to have a cocktail with a friend or two while watching the sun go down. I don't want to stay in a... More

I've been in New York city for 5 years and this is my first time visiting MONDRIAN SoHo. It's definitely a gem. Check in was made extremely easy thanks to Robert. He was very welcoming, patient, and great with describing areas of the neighborhood. The woman working overnight (I'm sorry, i told you i would probably forget your name) Friday... More

Staff was friendly and made sure everything was all right (I had asked for hypoallergenic bedding and they made sure it was changed before we entered the room.) Location is amazing, near West Broadway, dining in the hotel and around is perfect. The bed was noticeably comfortable.

I stayed here for two nights the weekend of 4/16 with my girlfriend. Upon request, we received a room with a king size bed on the 16th floor. While small, it was very nice, beautifully prepped and very clean (as would be expected at $300/night). Upon check-in everything went off without a hitch, I had prepaid the room, so they... More

Service levels quite poor, very disappointing and much less good than previously. Impression that the accountants are now in charge here and cutting costs and killing the place off. Rooms in need of refurbishment. Air-conditioning terrible - very noisy (one really can't sleep with it on - it's like having some sort of 1920s industrial fridge in your room -... More

I've been to New York a few times, but never stayed in the SoHo area. The Mondrian SoHo definitely exceeded my expectations, starting from the time I booked my one night stay about a month ago. The service, over email, was already prompt and extremely friendly. In-person, it was exactly the same. Everyone who worked there wore a genuine smile... More

A great romantic getaway. We live in NY, know the area well, and went here for a "Staycation" without kids The rooms had a beautiful blue tint with great views of the city. Mondrian offered a nice balance between taking care of us and giving us space. We definitely did not feel the staff's "presence" and they were available when... More

The photos on the Mondrian website are relatively deceiving, as they depict the rooms and hotel facilities to be much nicer than they really are. The place is nice, but I would describe it as a very nice bar that acquired the building behind it to house the patrons. This building was probably an older, rundown hotel and the Mondrian... More

Great view, great rooms. HORRIBLE, unreliable, slow, sloppy, room service. In 5 days i order food to receive wrong meals, duplicate meals, missing meals... The entire management of the room service area, are OBVIOUSLY clueless.

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
