The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are small but very well decorated in blue and white. The king matress was wonderful, very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent, the space was unique with high ceiling and natural light, scenary of dreams! The staff was corteus and efficient! The only issue was the concierge service... the first attendant was very gentle. On... More

My husband and I stayed at the Mondrian for four nights and thought it was a mixed bag. As former New Yorkers, we loved the location. It's close to shopping, eating, and public transportation, so the location is great. But the room itself leaves much to be desired. Our mistake was in going with the standard room, which is really... I found myself at the Mondrian SoHo after a last-minute work trip brought me to NYC in early December. From both a cost and service perspective, the experience exceeded expectations. The onsite restaurant and bar offer both a multitude of options as well as a fantastic setting. The room was comfortable and cozy - it felt like staying at a... More

We always enjoyed the Mondrian for its location, although as a past Hotel GM and food & beverage manager, I always thoughtthe room service and staff we're somewhat lacking, especially the room service. Saying that, we actually gave the Mondrian a 'break' our last 2 * in the city and tried other places . Since our hiatus in staying there,... More

14 US per day for internet. 10 US bottles of water in the room. Overpriced on demand movies - 17 bucks per movie rental. Tiny rooms. There was a lot of disturbances from the staff asking if I wanted my room cleaned every day even though I put the do not disturb sign on the door....they just ignored the sign.... More

Dear Swanny500, I would first off like to thank you for your recent stay with us as well as for your feedback. There is nothing more frustrating at a hotel, in my opinion, than staff not respecting a Do Not Disturb sign and I sincerely apologize that you had to deal with that. We will certainly be using your feedback... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. My husband and I live in Brooklyn and wanted a night away from home. The price and location were what we were looking for. The room was tiny, as many other reviews stated, but it was spotless with a a nice decor. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the... More

The hotel seems a litle overrated, but smiling, polite and helpfull staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, cool interior and a good location(close to subway, shopping and restaurants!) made up for a few minor drawbacks: Superior room with a skyline view was actually a small room at the 8th floor with view over a parking lot and dark street. Except from... More

Had a ball from arriving in the wonderful Chandelier filled Lobby on the bright escalators. Great rooms for one person they were small & totally efficient. Amazing restaurants and bars within the Hotel. Great concierge approved routes to explore my favourite destination. Wonderful location and Phillipe Starcke design was stunning

Trendy hotel in chic and happening neighbourhood.Very popular bar and restaurant which would appear to be a destination for the hipsters in itself. The room itself was fine albeit a little small (I've stayed in smaller !), Bed was comfortable. Little enough interaction with staff but seemed friendly to me. I actually like this as sometimes NY hotel staff can... More

My room was minuscule, which being New York isn't a valid complaint in itself, but considering what I paid it was shamefully small. And it didn't come with breakfast. If you're ripping someone off, at least give them breakfast. I heard doors opening and closing all night - the sounds of the hallway passed through my door with ease. My... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
