Being very familiar with the south beach and LA outposts of this brand, I was very disappointed with the hotel experience. The dinning room is beautiful and so is the bar, but once you start to dig deeper the staff touch points were poor customer service and operational challenges. The door man opened the door with one hand while texting... More

We stayed at the Mondrian SoHo for 4 nights in July. Our room was on the 21st floor and the view was absolutely fabulous! The room was nice, with a walk-in shower and a very comfy bed. Everything is nicely decorated. Too bad they charge you for wi-fi access...

This hotel is very pretty inside and honestly made me feel like I was like Alice in Wonderland and had fallen down the rabbit hole...but in a good way. :-) It's very nicely decorated in a whimsically chic fashion. When you walk in from the street you have to walk up the white stairs to find the check-in desk. The... More

Great hotel, perfect location and enough amenities in your room. We stayed here for a week to finish our honeymoon. We had great views of downtown to the financial district, the room is small but enough for a couple. I would give it 5 stars only for the feeling you get at night when you walk back to your room... Not just for rooftop party people - my kids, 13 and 18, and we love this place. Where to start - the inspiring decor, Balthazar chocolate croissants down the street, the bath products (we're obsessed), the comfy beds, the VIEWS, and location, location, location. Only minuses, rooms smallish (we did 2 last time and a suite with an air bed... More

Spent 4 nights in the Mondrian, located in the heart of Soho making it a perfect base for shopping and seeing the wonderful sights of New York. Sonny's Soda Bar on the rooftop is a cool hangout with great views, good music and friendly attentive staff. Restaurant is in a beautiful setting with an al fresco feel. Rooms clean and... More

My First time in New York ! I cant believe its taken this long ! After an 8 hour flight, Reception was a bit confusing at first as it is located on the first floor .reception itself was small, 2 employees behind the counter. Very friendly and authentic not pre programmed ( which I loath) As I checked in just... More

This is one of 3 hotels I've stayed at in NYC and whilst I loved the others (The Standard Highline and the Standard Soho), the Mondrian is the winner for me. It combines the great elements of the other great hotels, with the additional fact that it is super affordable (relatively) for what you get. I stayed at the Mondrian... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Inspired by Jean Cocteau’s cinematic interpretation of the tale of “La Belle et la Bête”, Mondrian SoHo is yet another innovative vision by Benjamin Noriega Ortiz. With Mondrian’s design, Noriega awakens the imagination and invites guests into a fantasy that offers an escape. The hotel boasts a mesmerizing ambiance that captures the sparkling charm and romance of New York, Isola Trattoria & Crudo Bar - a Coastal Italian restaurant with food and ambience inspired by the Amalfi Coast, Italian Riviera and Sicily. Mister H - an intimate downtown nightlife concept inspired by old New York, and 270 guest rooms - each with stunning views wrapping around the island of Manhattan, custom-designed bath fixtures, and a clever nod to the tale here and there. All guest rooms at Mondrian are non-smoking rooms. ... more   less
