My boyfriend and I booked The James on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed there last year. My usual approach to booking a hotel is to research the options thoroughly, sometimes spending months finding the right place! This really is due to the fact I tend to take one 'special' holiday a year, and the accommodation is key... More

Our stay at the James was a wonderful surprise wedding night gift. We were married this past Sunday and treated to a wonderful honeymoon suite that was beautifully decorated, complete with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. My assistant worked with the Chef Concierge Morgan and her amazing team to make this night special. We chose this hotel because their concierge... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at The James for two nights and found the hotel very pleasant. The décor is stylish and I loved the wooden floors in the room and the eco-friendly products in the bathroom. The service was good and even though we did not use the minibar – I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were very... More

Our experience at the James was great. My wife and I had a couples weekend here and enjoyed everything from the massages to the rooftop pool bar. The doormen (Eric and Mark) and bartenders were great!

The James hotel is a perfect gem. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pool. the weather wasn't cooperative. I definitely will stay at this hotel again. Close to shopping and dining. You don't need a car. I love to shop in nearby Soho and the West Village. There are countless restaurants and cafes to dine and have a cocktail.

I stayed here for a few days in May and really liked it. This is a pretty cool/modern hotel that is very conveniently located in the SoHo/Tribecca area. Now if you're not from NYC or not used to the hotels there I should point out that the rooms are pretty small for the price, but at least here they're nice.... More

I recently stayed at The James NY for a business trip. The staff is amazingly helpful and efficient. Location is great and it is very close to amazing restaurants. Lastly, Jimmy's is the place to hangout!

We regularly come to NY for a few days every year. We just discovered the James - brand new built 4 years ago. Perfect Soho location. Amazing views - tip: get a CORNER room, it's definitely worth the little extra price. Nice spa and restaurant. Definitely to be tried !

This hotel has all the potential in world. It has a great location, as it sits on the edge of Soho. There is a fabulous roof top bar with a view of One World Trade…BUT…the service is abysmal. Rarely was there anyone at the concierge desk or front desk. I had tried to make reservations through the concierge via email... More

Great location, easy walk to restaurants, shops and subway, fantastic roof top bar, brilliant sunset views, but can also head up for a swim or just a morning coffee. Room was clean and not tiny for New York standards. All the staff were very helpful. Even the gym had a lovely view!
