I read all the reviews prior to our stay, and didn't know exactly what to expect. Hotel was conveniently located on canal street, about 2 blocks east and west of 2 subway stations. This made it convenient to travel to and from the hotel, even with the subway work that seems to go on every week in NY. Rooms are... More

This hotel was a fantastic surprise in my trip to New York. I booked it using my starwood points and it was one of the cheapest. For this reason I did expect a nice place but nothing special. Instead I was very positively surprised. First of all the room was of a reasonable size (consider in New York the space... More

A friend and I recently stayed here for a girls' weekend. We loved the hotel. Upon check-in (at noon, so early), my room was not ready. They said it would be ready around 3pm and because I was on the club floor, they let me wait in the Club Lounge. At 2pm, a gentleman brought me a key to my... More

The pros: The views of lower and middle Manhattan were amazing from the both our rooms and the terrace, lovely part of town, in stylish Soho and only a few blocks away form little Itlay and Chinatown. The cons: DISINTERESTED staff didn't interact with customers, (One word answers), The terrace was quite like a zoo, kids running everywhere, it seemed... More

There were three of us and we stayed in a king room.We stayed 8 nights and it is great value and a lovely hotel in an amazing location. We couldn't fault the staff and service. Everyday we had a number of extremely helpful staff giving us directions, suggestions, or just wishing us a good day. Thanks Corey for getting us... More

I frequently travel to NYC -- and there are very few areas of the city that I do not feel safe in. While the hotel is good with great views form the Club Level and a fun vibe, I would did not feel comfortable with the neighborhood. When I was dropped off by the cab -- and asked him if... More

I recently stayed here for the weekend with my husband. We were in town for a concert and some sightseeing. I booked this hotel through Priceline's Name Your Own Price for $150/night. Here is the breakdown. PROS: -Very good location if you're interested in Soho. Walking distance to lots of great shopping and restaurants (try Dos Caminos for dinner/drinks and... More

As a native NYer, I never expected to stay in a hotel in the city but an opportunity came up to leave the kids with grandparents and enjoy a night out! My husband booked the "deluxe" room through his Starwood Preferred member plan. We were focused on staying downtown and near South Street Seaport, Ground Zero, and LIttle Italy/Chinatown. This... Booked the Sheraton Tribeca on their website. Subsequently found a better deal through Kayak, which normally should be honored by Starwood's best rate guarantee. Starwood didn't want to honor the lower rate, as the hotel had meanwhile also adapted their rate to the lower price. And the fine print is: the rates have to be available at the same time... More

Stayed here for 4 nights with family in a two double bed room. The rooms are small and tight. It was quiet though and clean. Also relatively new. The service was v good. The staff were friendly, helpful, happy. They gave out water, snacks, umbrellas when it rained. The level of service was a pleasant surprise and appears to be... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
