We stayed on the Sheraton Tribeca from 12/5 through 12/7, and were disappointed. Our room - a standard King - was very small, but the the greater problem was that there was no place to put our clothes. The closet was very narrow, and there were no drawers - just a couple of small shelves, about 14" wide. The bathroom... More

I stayed here multiple times and because of this, I did notice the inconsistency in the quality of rooms. Some weeks, I'm in an well-maintained room, other times, the age of the hotel is showing. Not all king guest rooms have an armchair, some rooms are slightly roomier, broken coffee maker, scuff marks on the wall, etc. Rooms are smaller... More

Very comfortable, good service and quite convenient for visiting SOHO,China Town, Little Italy. Parking is quite expensive, but is available (was $55 for my car for one night). Wifi was free and TV had lots of showtime stations.

This was a Thanksgiving (6 day) holiday stay. Stay in many Starwood properties for work and travel. Have certain expectations for basic qualities (not high) for smaller Sheratons; certain expectations for smaller-than-average rooms for NYC hotels. Rooms are not lovely: something weird with fitted bottom sheets on the bed--that didn't fit and popped off each night to reveal the mattress... More

very friendly staff, clean and comfy room. Pretty simple rooms, but perfectly adequate. The building front was going under some remodelling, so hard to tell how good the lobby was. The area is a bit rough.

We had a quick trip to NYC with our family of four. The pull-out couch plus king bed made the Sheraton the right choice for us. Room had a mini-fridge, good sized bathroom (shower only, no tub) and closet for storing luggage. There are 3 fast elevators which minimized the wait time in the lobby. Overall, we were satisfied with... More

Good location, nice staff, small rooms, but nicely done. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Reasonable rates too! Close to Chinatown, soho and the village. Easy to get a cab in front. Skip the restaurant, there is a great little shop with hot tasty food right next store. The bar is quite nice, with high end selection and a... More

I am a tourist, not a business traveler so this is intended for those on vacation. Tribeca is in lower Manhattan away from all the brouhaha of Times Square. If you are not afraid of the subways it is convenient and easy to get to from the airports because of the reduced traffic compared to Times Square. The A C... More

My wife and me frequently visit NYC for any of the holidays, staying at one of the ritzy hotels at Battery Park. We decided to stay near the SOHO area, and by chance, picked this one.We booked a club room for 4 nights. We had all the ammenities that we are offered at the other hotel: fitness center, breakfast, room... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
