Wow...The Setai Hotel is situated perfectly in the Heart of New York on Fifth Avenue. The Hotel is new and the rooms are lavishly large with modern Italian styling, comfortable beds with fantastic en suite bathroom facilities. We stayed for 4 nights recently in a Double Deluxe King Room booked through an agency in England and the package included breakfast... More

Stayed there for 5 nights with wife in a studio suite. Positives: Rooms: Very nicely done, spacious by NY standards, with all the amenities. Decor is modern (somewhat of a Zen concept). The only two nitpicks here would be that the lighting is dim, even with all the lights on, and views aren't that great. Service: Top notch, gracious, friendly,... More

The best thing about this hotel is location! Rooms are very nice: big, clean, comfortable. Hotel staff is also nice. The only reason i put 4 of 5 is probably service. Nobody has met us in the restaurant for the breakfast, so we were kind of lost. We were highly recommended to take a hotel city car, but we tried... More

A luxury hotel. Priced like a luxury hotel, service, staff recognize this and behave accordingly. Recommend it if you need a luxury hotel near the heartbeat of the city. They treat you right at the front door, and everywhere else in the hotel. Great for a special invent and you want to remain in the ciy.

I am a frequent traveler for leisure and work - and have stayed in hotels around the world and many luxury hotels in New York. It is always essential for me to find a place that will be comfortable to stay in, have a great workout facility, have modern features to allow for work on the road -- and frankly... More

My husband and i stay here around half a dozen times a year. We have stayed in pretty much most of the 5 star hotels in NYC ranging from The Plaza, New York Palace, Mandarin Oriental, Ritz carlton to name a few.... hands down The Setai is the best. From the minute we exit the cab we are always greeted... More

Booked the Setai for our 5th Wedding Anniversary and from start to finish it was an experience to be had. The service was impeccable and nothing like I have ever received. Newspaper to your door every morning, arranging of taxi's at a drop of a hat. Il Fiori the restaurant was also fabulous. Although we never had dinner in the... More

From the pre-arrival notes from the hotel personal assistant to the warm reception given as a returning guest, I thoroughly enjoyed the warmth and welcome received throughout my recent visit. Eating in Il Fiore was a culinary delight. The server was well-versed in everything on the menu that evening, and was as enthusiastic as most likely was the chef bout... More

Full disclosure: I used a discount booking site where one learns the hotel after paying. I expected luxurious surroundings but mediocre service. I was wrong, the service was above and beyond! (Right about the surroundings, the room was great.) We had just come from the Caribbean and our cold weather clothes were a mess after being in storage. No problem,... More
