If you've ever dreamt about living in downtown NYC but missed out on that life experience for one reason or another (like me), this is your chance to do so without breaking too much of your budget. The Nolitan is one of those contemporary, luxurious, yet uber-low-key boutique hotels that you really don't want the whole world to know about.... More

The Nolitan is in a convenient quiet location if you want to be in the lower east side. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They not only stored 4 very large suitcaes for us but even helped us move them to our child's apartment a block away! The linens are very nice and the bed is comfortable. Overall, the... More

Staff was extremely helpful and very courteous. I had a couple of issues that were resolved well but two things had not been resolved. I did not get a newspaper each day, and did not have any turndown service on the second night. I arrived for the CB at 9:30am only to find nothing left but yogurt. Second day the... More

Booked into the Nolitan last year, just after it had opened, after a rave review in the Globe and Mail and we were back again this year. It's the perfect little hip, posh hotel in a hip neighbourhood--walking distance to Soho, Greenwich village, and Little Italy with gorgeous night views of the Empire State building and the Chrysler building to... Picked the Nolitan based on the reviews on Trip Advisor. I wanted a boutique hotel in the LES that was a guaranteed, sure-bet great exprience, and that's what we got. I paid ahead and splurged for the Corner King for a surprise weekend birthday get-away. the room was a perfect size for 2, with views of the river on one... More

I hugely enjoyed my four nights at the Nolitan. Everything was great: the location, the lovely decor, the comfortable bed, the fun shower, the balcony with a beautiful view over the Williamsburg Bridge. The staff were absolutely perfect - friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were good and the roof terrace has one of the best views you'll find. Fantastic... More

I travel often and in all my years of doing so have never written a review, even when asked. I had the most delightful time ever as a guest at the Nolitan. The rooms are beautifully crafted, super comfortable and equipped and accessorized perfectly. The bed was heavenly, sheets especially, the shower was everything you would want a shower to... More

We chose The Nolitan based upon all of the positive feedback on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed! The hotel was modern and clean with very friendly and helpful staff. It was less than a five minute walk from Spring St or Bowery Subway stations and a good jumping off point to explore Manhattan. Definitely check out the view from... More

Booked a couple of nights at The Nolitan recently because my usual favorites were sold out. I had very low expectations but love the neighborhood. I have to say, I was impressed from the first minute I walked in the door. The staff was old school accommodating and helpful, but also fun and charming. By the time I checked out... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighborhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighborhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighborhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
