I loved the location and intimacy of this hotel. The hotel rooms were cosy and the bed really comfortable. The free wine and cheese in the evenings (other than Sunday) was a really nice touch, especially for a solo traveller. Nearby the hotel are great cafes and restaurants such as the Butcher's Daughter and La Esquina. I have stayed in... More

This is where I plan to stay in NY: great, trendy location; modern hotel; good value and service. Much nicer atmosphere than a the More classic NY hotels. Fantastic restaurants around, and the nearby subway get you anywhere uptown. But who needs uptown?!

What a great place to stay in NYC. It was recommended by a friend for the location, great beds, and lovely staff and they weren't wrong! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This was our second time at this hotel and we would certainly return. The staff are friendly and helpful and its location means you are close to several subway lines with easy access to shops and attractions. My husband and I wanted to stay in the SoHo / Nolita area as we were visiting family living nearby. This was not our first visit to NYC and last time we had stayed at The Mondrian. I do feel we are past staying at a hotel that has a nightclub on the roof (Mondrian) but we enjoy a classy... More

Nolitan was relaxed, friendly and helpful. One staff member went ahead and took my bags up to my room while I was checking in and two tag-teamed getting a taxi for me at 6 am on Saturday morning when it was looking bleak. The rooms are floor to ceiling windows with plenty of light a The actual lighting was on... More

Great spot! Nolita is in a lovely little area...just east of crazy-busy Broadway and SoHo neighborhood. One block from great Italian and Asian restaurants. Excellent boutiques and shops up and down Spring and Prince streets. The rooms are typical small New York style. Are they five-star? No. But, I have stayed in other hotels in New York and I thought... More

Staying in Nolita

Neighborhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighborhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighborhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
