All other elements of this hostel are eclipsed by the fact that my bag was stolen. It was padlocked in a locker but someone managed to break the lock and take my bag. Laptop, passport, iPad and 2500 euros gone. When the police came they said they had been there before for the same reason. The girl at the front... More

I stayed in Hostel 104 for 4 night (3 night in a dorm for 4 girls, and 1 night in the hallway) It was very good, much better than I expect from hostels. It is very clean and everyday things are cleaned. The employees are nice and helpfull as well. The location is in Harlem, but there is absolutely no... More

The hostel is really clean and modern. I would stay there again. But maybe pay extra for the private rooms as the dorms are out in the open straight out of the lift so it makes for a pretty bad nights sleep. The only thing letting it down is the location. Its about 4 blocks from the subway and you... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in private room 24. Reception staff were friendly and helpfull, our room was clean with great air con! The breakfast was great, although busy, but everybody very friendly so you just get stuck in. Only on for an hour though so could be longer. The area the hostel is in isn't the best but... More

Ok so after a 7 hour flight from London - my girlfriend and I arrived at the hostel just before midnight. There was a police car outside - some guy was being cautioned in the hostel for under age drinking when we got to reception - so that rang alarm bells rang immediately! We stood at reception for about 5... More

I booked via the hostel website that linked out to hostelworld.com. I paid a booking fee. I relaxed. Two days before I left I got an email from Hostel 104 saying they had cancelled my booking because "they were full". I immediately booked another hostel (a good one = NY Loft Hostel in Brooklyn) and told Hostel 104 to give... More

The Hostel is located between the Upper East side and Harlem, the neighborhood is a bit ghetto but you will survive and when you get to know the people they are all really nice. At night we took the taxi back to our hostel, which costs +/- $ 15. Just outside the Hostel there is a liquor store and there... More
