We were a group of 6 and rented the apartment at the top. The neighbourhood is great and we felt very safe there. The location is good, the apartment is just a few steps for a subway station with express lines and we were ready to travel the subway for the trade of very affordable apartment. Bernardo and Maite were... More

We enjoyed our stay at San Fermin. The accommodation is definitely larger and more comfortable than you get downtown, and provides good value for money. Great local cafes, bars and take-out options - which Bernardo is happy to point you towards. The major downside is that you do have a >15min subway ride most days if you are visiting the... More

We last visited NYC 25 years ago and wouldn't have dreamed of staying in Harlem in those days - but now this area provides a great safe alternative to staying downtown but with very good express subway links at your doorstep San Fermin is very well presented and very clean. It has three floors with a quite narrow staircase -... More

Like everyone else I booked at San Fermin based on the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. I had stayed in Brooklyn for 1 week and then moved to San Fermin for my 2nd week in NY. A major issue for me is to find a place that is quiet for sleeping and San Fermin is very quiet- it even... More

We chose this B&B after seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor. We could not agree more with what everyone else has said. We immediately felt welcomed by Bernardo and Maite. They even put a sign outside our door saying welcome to NY! The room had everything we could want or need. Brewed coffee, toaster, fridge etc. like a little studio apartment!... More

Very well located in Harlem, nice little boutique hotel only five minutes walk to the express subway line. 15 minutes to Time Square. Tremendous host Bernardo was helpful in all our needs. Clean and excellent and relaxing bed and bedding. No elevator but stairs are ok if you are not in bad shape. If so ask for first floor, with... More

I can't say enough great things about the San Fermin Apartments and it's management team (husband and wife team Bernardo and Maite). My Mum and I were lucky enough to stay for a week in one of the SF Apartments and experienced a delightful little piece of NYC, different to the typical tourist experience. The apartments are beautifully decorated and... More

First of all, I would like to say a big, thank you to Bernardo and Mayte for making our first visit to NY so amazingly beautiful. Since we wanted to visit NYC during the holidays and we are a family of six, finding a good place to stay was a real challenge. However, choosing to stay at San Fermin proved... More

We spent a very pleasant few days in NY earlier this month. Our time in the city was made even more enjoyable by the quality of the San Fermin apartments. They were well appointed and comfortable and with the exceptional hospitality we received from Bernardo, proved to be great value for money compared to the overpriced and impersonal central Manhattan... A friend and I spent a week in NYC last month, and decided not to stay in Manhattan. San Fermin is a beautiful and tastefully furnished and equipped B&B and Bernardo and his wife were most helpful. Would stay again, and will recommend! Lovely cafe with tasty breakfast a two minutes' walk away. And, don't be put off by the... More

Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks.
