We stayed at the Intercontinental August 31-September 3rd and loved everything about it....staff were friendly. Our room was modern, clean and very quiet. We were on the 18th floor and had a great view. Elevators were very fast. Did not use the restaurants as they are expensive and there are awesome ones around the hotel. We would definitely stay again.......Taxi drivers... More

Ok, let me state this first. It was a nice room, it was clean, the service was fine, but you are definitely paying for a) the location being near Times Square and b) the name InterContinental. As I sat in my room I couldn't help but think "there's got to be the same quality at a significantly lower price, probably... More

I have to say that all of the staff we dealt with were very helpful and unusually for a NewYork hotle in my experience friendly! The hotel is very well situated 5 min walk from Times Sq and close to a couple of Metros stations. Our room was perfectly nice with a very comfy bed and clean, nice decor. Don't... More

I've stayed at a few hotels in New York and honestly we didn't expect very attentive service at any hotels since New Yorkers are in general more "cool" and less friendly. Intercontinental hotel proved me wrong. Especially when we were not paying full price for the room (we bid from priceline), the staff still welcomed us like any other normal... More

This hotel is a great pic for many reasons. For one it's location lends itself to walking distances to many destinations, shopping, Broadway, St Patricks, and Times Square. The hotel lobby is very upbeat and beautifully styled with a Todd English Bar off to the side with a nice fireplace. We were there during a warm spell, but in the wintertime it... More

We are huge fans of the InterContinental brand and have stayed at many of their properties around the world. So when our home was subject to mandatory evacuation on account of Hurricane Irene, I had my second opportunity to visit the IC Times Square. And I could not have asked for a better place to weather the storm with my... More

We got a great price through lastminute.com. Check in was very quick and efficient and handled by a charming member of staff. When I explained this was a weekend away for my boyfriend and I before I headed out to Afghanistan, the lady handling our check-in wished me well. We had a sky view room looking on to 8th Avenue.... In the past, we have stayed at the DoubleTree Guest Suites in Times Square, however, they were booked. We got a room at the InterContinental Times Sq instead and loved it! Room was big enough for our family of 4 with 2 double beds. Beds were a little too soft for my back, but sheets were soooo comfy! Bathroom was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
