This hotel feels more like a Travel Lodge than an Intercontinental. I live in Asia and their hotels in Manila, Saigon, Kuala Lampur and Bangkok put this one to shame. The room smelled like old socks. It was small. Curtains did not close properly. No style or grace to the place. It looked like an old motor hotel that had... More

As Always, it is nice to stay at InterContinental. The staff is always very friendly and professional, the rooms and common areas are clean, the location ia very central. I was glad to choose this hotel. Conveniently located between the Javits Center and Times Square, it is the perfect place to visit New York both for pleasure and business. As... More

Our room walls are Nasty! Bathroom walls are nasty! Person in charge of cleaning our room leaves 2 wash cloths for 3 guest in our room. Walls needs a complete cleaning where previous guest have lean against walls and left hand prints on the walls. Water Pressure is very weak, and this may be because the tub doesn't drain well... May 27 and May 28, 2015 (two nights) - As part of an extended East Coast driving trip from Baltimore to Maine, we visited New York City for two nights. Each of us receives an International Hotel Group free night coupon annually so we decided to use our two free night coupons at the InterContinental New York Times Square. Two... More

I haven't reviewed in the past, but was on asking a question for another property. Brought my family to NYC for an impromptu Broadway show marathon. Normally stay at the Omni Berkshire or Waldorf and have avoided Times Square, but my daughter was on crutches so we looked for another option. What a pleasant surprise. Location out of Lincoln Tunnel... More

Fabulous overnight stay! We were going to dinner and a concert. We got to the hotel around 1:30. Latoya was lovely. She gave us drink vouchers while we waited for our room. We had a drink and some appetizers at the bar. The waitress was also delightful and very informative. She recommended a wonderful Cabernet and cheese selections. The room... More

OMG, this is the best, most relaxing, and comfortable hotel and room and I have ever stayed at in NYC! I have stayed at the Waldorf, Hilton Times Square, Sheraton Times Square and many more but the Intercontinental was like heaven for NY standards. My king room was large and beautifully decorated with rich, warm, and soothing colors. The colors... More

The hotel is okay overall. Service was fine with all the standard amenities. What's great that breakfast for two were included and it was quite good (for kids you have to pay extra but very reasonable price). Location was excellent, it is at the more quiet end of Times SDquare and very near to all the restaurants at Hell's kitchen.... More

I spent one night here for work and was only in the room for 12 hours, but was impressed with the hotel. The location is a good one, near Times Square and the subway. Check in was quick (although I checked in around 9pm, well after the rush). The room itself was very nice - seemed to have been recently... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
