The house was beautiful in a nice, quiet neighborhood which I liked better than a busy hotel. I felt like I was living in New York. Everything about the room, for me, was perfect. Small space but that is fine with me. Clean, lovely bathroom. The staff were attentive and accommodating. There is a bus stop just up the street... More

We stayed in La Maison d'Art for 5 nights. On the day of our arrival we were welcomed by Stephanie and Sophie, the owners. We appreciated this personal approach! The street where La Maison is located was a bit of a disappointment, for some houses nextdoor were shot by timberland, not a very pretty view. Inside La Maison was great:... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and we had a great welcome and felt very comfortable straight away, it's very clean and different to your typical hotel it's a very different feel. The only thing we didn't like is walking to it from the station it was not far but we didn't feel that safe in the... More

We stayed here for 9 nights in June this year whilst on a work/holiday trip. La Maison D'Art is a great place to stay - very comfortable, clean, and with everything you need. We stayed in the Master Suite which was quite spacious and had a nice kitchenette so we could buy and cook some of our own food. The... More

We were warmly hosted by Sophie during our stay in the master suite at La Maison d'Art. She was helpful and wonderfully kind to my children (age 3 and 8). The location is close to a subway station in vibrant Harlem, making it convenient as a home base to visit many parts of Manhattan. The suite itself had many amenities:... More

La Maison d'Art is a very nice place in Harlem. I stayed for 5 days in a small but very comfortable room, decorated in bohemian style, very clean and beautiful! When we arrived Luke was waiting for us and he was very helpfully and kind. The subway is very close to the Maison D'art, so in few minutes you can... More

Sophie and Stephanie, the owners were super nice and welcoming. Staying outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Manhattan was a nice way decompress after a long day of sightseeing. The room was very clean and we especially loved the garden in the back. We would definitely go back.

La Maison d'Art is a guesthouse in Harlem, situated in one of the redbrick, tall thin townhouses you see in American sitcoms. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a bohemian style, with good quality fittings and furniture and original art all around. There is also a small nice garden in the rear. Delis and shops are close by where you... More

Stayed in the loft apartment for 5 nights. Spacious, clean, quiet, beautiful decor, comfortable beds and a generous kitchen all ticked the boxes. Loved the neighbourhood - very colourful, full of history and surrounded by great cafes, restaurants and shopping. Easy walking distance to a few subway stops, so travelling to all parts of Manhattan was no problem. I arrived... More

the room was very nice, the ladies did a nice job of welcoming us. my only two concerns were: 1) there is only 1 mirror, high above the bathroom sink it was very difficult to use.and no mirror to check the outfit before going out for the evening. 2. i would have appreciated a rug beside my bed, aside from that...
