I would avoid this place if at all possible. Saying the room is small is being generous. Be prepared to stand on one leg if you open your suitcase. On two of the three sides of the bed the walking space was less than my 13 inch laptop. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. On my last day in... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times (and Choice Privileges platinum most years) and it is clear that the management has either changed or lost its ability to run the hotel. The prices were at or above better options in the city. We booked two rooms and neither were cleaned until calling at 5 pm-two days in a row.... More

You will struggle to find a better priced hotel in Manhattan that is liveable. This place is clean enough, in a great location close to a subway station and has everything you need nearby. The breakfast isn't great but has enough options to fill your stomach. Rooms are small but that's just NYC. don't take too much luggage because you'll... More

As several other reviewers have mentioned the rooms are very small. I stayed in a room with two double beds and there was not a lot of extra space for luggage. Definitely not the place to stay with small children. VERY CLEAN!! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Convenient location and I felt safe waking in the... More

Had a great stay with the Comfort Inn. We had a few teething problems during check in, but the Staff and Management were very quick to resolve and went out of thier way to ensure that our stay with them was an excellent experience throughout the duration. Very customer focused, highly recommended.

The Lower East Side Comfort Inn is in a great location and the staff is amazing and very helpful. We frequently stay here in larger groups with our school while in New York City and the staff is consistently kind, hospitable and accommodating.

I recently stayed at Comfort Inn Lower East side for the weekend. It is near the subway and bus. You can walk to any kind of food that you want, plus bonus of being around the corner from Economy Candy. Near Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho. The room was clean and the breakfast was perfect. The staff is very helpful for... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
