When we walked in the room we had trouble with closing the shades to block out the light. We called front desk and they came right away and showed us that they were all the way by the side of the window. The guy was pretty chatty once he finished, but the front desk clerk made sure to get him... More

Everybody is so helpful and friendly as they are trying to do everything to make you feel comfortable. It has a great location and I highly recommend this place! The room is very nice as they have everything you might need. If not, you ask and they provide for you!

I have stayed here twice and a great value. Good hot breakfast on the basement. The lady who manages the breakfast was very good with a great service attitude. Great wifi. Everything else will meet your basic requirements. For obvious reasons, you won't get everything that you will get by paying $400+ in other hotels, but a good value hotel... More

Small room, perfect when you are in New York you will not stay in your room. Clean and good price. I like the bars and restaurants around. The subway is just at 5 minutes from the hotel. I did try the breakfast I prefer to go outside.

i had a great experience in this hotel. I can see that people are writing bad reviews because of the small room. but they keep on forgetting its NYC. They have the best staff. (Su,Angel &Jasmine) were very helpful . I'm definitely coming back here.

Last time I was in New York I stayed near Times Square. But after being recommended the Comfort Inn on Ludlow Street three years on, my new partner and I went for it on grounds of budget, location and its rating on here - we were not disappointed. If you want to spend thousands and have a view of Times... More

My husband and I (in our 50's) had a great weekend stay while visiting family in SOHO. Yes it is a younger crowd in the neighborhood but that's okay with us. Lower East Side is a lively place, but we felt safe walking back at midnight, as the neighborhood was bustling. (NYU students I'm guessing.) Many restaurants, pizza places -... More

Two day stay cost 807 including tax and the person in charge of cleaning the room never showed up on our second day. The space between the bed and the desk was so small I had to walk sideways. The best part was that the room was not fronting the street which was very noisy.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
