Great location near our event, with parking garage close by. Rooms were clean and quite small, but we were there just to sleep and the beds were comfortable. Our room was on the 4th floor and heard a lot of street noise but not enough to keep me from sleeping. Only two complaints: we were sent up to the 8th... More

After a long haul day flight from the UK this was just the ticket to rest my weary head. We landed in the evening of a Saturday and I was still queasy from the transatlantic flight and the roughest, readiest cab journey from John f Kennedy airport. Fortunately, check in was a streamlined as the facia. And before I knew... More

We spent one night here while visiting NYC for my birthday. Check in was smooth - we called to let them know we wouldn't be there until 8pm as we went directly to our Broadway show and then to dinner. Room is on the smaller side, but plenty of space for a two of us. They upgraded us, for free,... More

They charge $25 to check in 2 hours early, even though the room was ready. The room was clean and location okay. The room was really small, but that is par for the course in New York City . We stayed in August. The air conditioning was good. But I was never charged for checking in early before.

This NY hotel was of course small but that is somewhat typical for the city. We were on the 10th floor and had a quiet experience. The only issue was the ice machine on the 8th floor produced dirty ice. Breakfast area was crowded but it was good to be able to get something before heading out for the day.... More

I spent 3 nights here on business. I chose this property both because of its location--a quick and easy hop to Brooklyn or really anywhere in Manhattan and because I like the buzz of the Lower East Side. I can't think of a single thing to complain about. The room was snug but fine for one or two people, the... More

Room was barely large enough to get around the bed; closet was a box with a clothes rod; however, room and bath very clean and complimentary breakfast was good. Hotel was close to subway and restaurants that offered a variety of food.

Went to NYC to check it off of my 86 year old mother in law 's bucket list. We had all been before, but mom wanted to go one more time, especially to see the Ground Zero museum. Most affordable hotel was Comfort Inn on Ludlow, lower east side. Area is great! Close to subway, great bars and restaurants and... More

Small yes. If you need to be in area and need a reasonable price, then it's fine. Lots of bars in area, if that's your thing- young bars. Old hotel and old building. If you have to be in the area then OK but this is a very old hotel. Might want to stay around Wall Street if want new... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
