Been to NYC many, many times. We stayed here because the price was right, and the location was awesome. The Delancey-Essex train station is very close, and there are tons of small restaurants and shops in this area. Economy Candy is right around the corner!! I will stay here again! Love the neighborhood. Room in front not noisy during week.Let... More

Great location, low prices and the nicest staff on the planet. I spend very little time in my hotel when I'm NYC, so the fact that it (like most) has small rooms, doesn't matter at all. The location is perfect for getting around -- Soho and East Village inches away. The LES itself has great restaurants, shops, bars, etc. So... More

I'll save the details (which are many) but they put is in a ground floor room which was literally within about 40 feet of the front desk. We heard everything all night - including clerks phone calls from about 4-5:15 AM. There was an echo in the lobby and it sounded like the people were in our room with us.... More

This hotel has an excellent location and an overall great value (it was the cheapest option that I found in the area). It is ideal if you're traveling by yourself or as a couple with not much luggage. It is definitely a tiny space, but what can you expect for the East Village? The front desk clerk was also very... Came to the East Village for business on a whim & need a convenient place to stay & rest in my down time. Joseph greeted me with the utmost professionalism & friendliness. I was only suopossed to stay a night but had to make it two & he made sure my bags & late checkout were great! He could be... More

While snow fell in Buffalo cold winds brought high chills to every Manhattan visitor, but as we entered the hotel all this was left outside while we enjoyed the great bed and bathtub, drinking some wine and watching a movie in our confy and affordable room.

While the location is awesome (I love the LowerEast Side) and the rates were the best you can hope to find in the area, I still wasn't very happy with the hotel. The rooms are so small there's literally no place to put your suitcase. The staff leaves A LOT to be desired. Calling the hotel was a 2 or... More

It was OK. Price was low. Room smelled a little funny, TV didn't work very well. Staff was nice, though, and location was perfect for what we needed. Galli, right across the street, is a great place door dinner.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn Lower East Side when attending a concert at the Bowery. I chose this hotel firstly on location, second on price, and hoped for the best. I was pleasantly surprised! Comfy beds, very clean room and friendly staff! Just what I needed for an overnight stay. The rooms are not large but for staying overnight... More

Stayed here for NYC Marathon weekend 2014. Room was ready early which was nice. Got into the room (very small but typical for NYC) and first thing that hit me was the very strong smell of mildew. Seemed to be coming from the bathroom and when I closed the bathroom door it wasn't as bad. The toilet ran constantly but... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
