I recently stayed at Comfort Inn Lower East side for the weekend. It is near the subway and bus. You can walk to any kind of food that you want, plus bonus of being around the corner from Economy Candy. Near Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho. The room was clean and the breakfast was perfect. The staff is very helpful for... More

The hotel is superbly located in the LES, a very short walk to Delancey Street subway stop. Fabulous neighbourhood entertainment, bars and restaurants. Also an easy walk over the bridge to Williamsburg. Jasmine (Bautista), the front desk agent, went above and beyond to help. It is a clean and functional room, offering incredible value for Manhattan.

We has a great stay! Hotel was reasonable priced! Rooms were very small but was very accommodating for the city life. Would definitely choose this hotel again. Our room was very clean and the cleaning lady was very nice. GREAT PILLOWS!

My wife an I were staying here for two nights in February. We chose this hotel because it was close to our event. The hotel is a very quick walk to the subway which was very convenient. The hotel lobby was nice and the staff was attentive and courteous upon arrival. Our room was on the 9th floor and offered... More

We stayed two nights in mid-February on a visit to NYU. We wanted to be in Manhattan for under $400/night and not stay in a rat trap. Plus: the property is clean and fairly new. Everything in our room worked fine, specifically including the heat and hot water. The nearest subway station is a three-minute walk. There's plenty of restaurants... More

yes, the rooms are tiny, but this is NYC. My particular room has 2 double beds and if one of two people are moving around, the other needs to be out of the one person path around the beds. There is very little room for bag/suitcase storage, but it's ok if you have packed light (2 small bags per person).... More

Small hotel with tiny clean room, real nice bed and bathroom. Breakfast served in basement, could vary what you found there, but all tasted good! Real friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent in a chic area, with lots of restaurants, artgallerys, small boutiqes. Close to subway Delancey/Essex and walkingdistance to Soho, Chinatown and Little Italy.

We stayed 5 days at Comfort Inn and enjoyed our stay. Excellent beds, a lovely bathroom with a hot shower, clean rooms, clean towels everyday, very helpful staff and excellent location made our city trip to a great holiday. The hotel is close to the subway and no changes are you in 10 minutes to Time Square. Lots of nice... More

The room was so tiny one person had to sit on the bed so the other could walk around. No one was around at checkout. We had to wait for a half hour! We stayed for two nights but no one checked the room on the second day.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
