This place is fantastic. It's also the reason boutique hotels are so popular in New York. There is nothing corporate about this place. From the casual-chic style of the staff, to the modernist art throughout the hotel, this hotel feels more like a chic apartment. The rooms were immaculate and perfectly appointed, but the best part of the hotel is... More

Chambers has begun to feel like my own NYC apartment. As opposed to many nice NYC hotels, with their bustling lobbies or their hipster (sorry I hate that word, too) scene, Chambers offers a respite from the hectic world that is mid-town Manhattan. I always feel sincerely welcome and taken care of during my visits. It is also a great... More

Would certainly stay here again. Rooms small, but they usually are in NY. Friendly staff, great location, and a very welcoming base when you are in NYC

Warm smiles greeted us at the door and continued through our check-in and our entire stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is stylish, comfortable chairs to sit in if you want to read a newspaper in the morning. The hotel offers free wifi and laptops to borrow if you don't have your own and you want... More

My family of four stayed in a Deluxe King Suite over Labor Day Weekend. The hotel was modern and fresh. I felt like I was walking into my own living room every time we came back. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They were so kind to our 4 and 2 year old. They put two robes in the... More

Dear Rdubs, We're very glad you liked it! It is indeed a lovely little hotel, quiet and restful, after being in the hustle and bustle of the city. Plus, we really like children and they surely need a bit of extra care after a day on the go. I am only too happy in passing long your appreciations. Do let... More

Our family just stayed at Chambers Hotel this past weekend. A hidden gem in NYC!!! Hotel was centrally located, room was very nice(and incredibly clean) as was the bathroom/shower. Best shower in a hotel ever !! Restaurant and bar were very good ---food and service excellent. The most telling feature was that from the first contact with the doorman to... More

This Hotel was already way ahead of the game when we arrived due to its location. You just cant put a value on being so central to everything. Its really worth $50-100 per day if you're out an around. You can actually head back to your room and change for meals. Whereas if you were staying uptown or something -... More

We stayed at The Chambers Hotel in mid-august, 2011 for four nights. Kai, Kitty, Kevin, Maurice and all the rest of the staff were truly wonderful. Not only did they make great recommendations for things to do and see around town, they seemed to really enjoy interacting with customers-- and their warmth is what sets the hotel apart. Case in... Just to prove that I don't only write critical reviews :) I have to say that I love Chambers hotel in NY. I stayed here in snowy January and found the hotel to be cosy, friendly, funky and in a fantastic location - just round the corner from Central Park and 5th avenue (a short walk to Tiffany's!). The satff... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
