I stayed for five nights. All my usual hotels were booked up, and I had never heard of Chambers before. I would definitely stay again. Very good location, convenient to subways, the room was nice, clean, the window opened (which is something I crave when I'm on the road for too long), overall a really above-average experience. I have to... More

Dear MN, We are very glad you found us. We keep a low profile as a respite from the hustle and bustle of Midtown, a place where our guests may feel secure and calm and, now that a chill has settled on New York, are able to find a spot by the fire for a drink or chat. I, too,... More

We recently stayed at the Chambers for 2 nights, and really enjoyed the room. The room was spacious and had a great layout, and the washroom was well appointed and spacious as well. The hotel is centrally located, close to great shopping and restaurants. As there are not too many rooms at the hotel, we were well taken care of... More

I stayed here recently with my partner who was on business in New York. My first impression of the room wasn't that great - they do feel a little stark and functional, but as our stay went on we really warmed to the decor and 'got' the thinking behind it. We had room 72 which looked over the street and... More

Good afternoon, Sir. Thank you kindly for your forthright feedback; it is the very best way for us to understand how we are viewed and I am hugely appreciative of your having taken the time. I am glad to know you enjoyed the room and the thought and design which went into all, as well as appreciating the cleanliness and... More

The staff is excellent and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. The room is modern, quiet, clean, and comfortable. (The only negative is the valet parking garage which is not at the hotel and is also not hotel staff.)

Dear Skyline446, Thank you for your kind words and we are very happy you enjoyed your time in New York and at Chambers. I am sorry to hear parking arrangements left an unpleasant taste. Please do let me know the particulars and I will have the charge removed from your bill. There is never any need to pay for poor... More

I stayed at Chambers at least 10 times during the last 3 years – for stays form 3 to 7 nights) as I was travelling every 3-4 months to New York for business. First time the place was recommended by a colleague as it was very conveniently located not far from our headquarters and then I always choose to come... More

Second time at the Chambers was even better than the first! Our room was upgraded and the staff was so helpful. I really can't think of another hotel where the staff make you feel so welcome without being overbearing. Great service, great rooms with nice decor, excellent food in the hotel, and a convenient location make this hotel one that... More

We flew into the city at the approach of Labor Day weekend. We love the US Open and were ready to indulge in the bounty of Manhattan as well. The hotel is well situated, within a stones throw of Central Park, Nobu 57, and of course the famed shopping down Fifth Ave. However, this hotel is simply fair. The rooms... More

Dear GRmama123, We are very sorry indeed you had a less than fantastic visit to Chambers, as we do hope to succeed in pleasing all our guests. The simplicity of our rooms, we feel, reinforces a sense of haven and calm; the variety of textures, some quotidian and others deeply luxurious, are meant to underscore the match of swank Uptown... We stayed here for four nights in a standard queen room. This understated hotel is hardly noticeable on 56th St but the door and reception staff provide a warm and friendly welcome. It was good to be able to get away from the Manhatten noise and bustle. The room was a good size, very clean, and comfortable with excellent towels... More

We stayed a the Chambers as a family in June for 4 nights. The location is ideal if like us you want to step out of your door step and be in the hustle of Manhattan closer to Central Park and 5th Avenue. The Hotel decor is stylish, understated, quirky and cosy, it is the ultimate boutique hotel - down... More

We just got back from a one night, end of summer trip into Manhattan. We have stayed at a few other 4 and 5 star hotels. We have to say that the Chambers Hotel definitely ranks high in our list of best hotels in Manhattan. From the greeting at the door, to the quick check-in, the two free drinks, and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
