Some of the smaller rooms I've encountered have been at the Flatiron. It's fine if you are solo on business. tiny bathroom but modern. the rooms are well appointed despite size. unfortunately, there are so many better value alternatives nearby that i rarely stay here -- the rates are great in the winter but then go up dramatically and make... We had to leave our apartment because of an extended power outage during Hurricane Sandy. We drove around the neighborhood and all of the hotels were booked. Then we happened to pass the Flatiron and they had rooms. We spent three nights in a corner double, with two queen beds and windows on three sides. Our office was also closed,... More

I have traveled all over the world and this is the strangest hotel I've ever stayed in. The most positive thing about the hotel is the staff. They are friendly, efficient and eager to please. After that, the place is all down hill. The hotel considers itself a "boutique " luxury hotel. It is neither. It may have been conceived... More

I am sorry to hear that your stay with us was unsatisfactory. This does not sit well with me....thanks to your input I have implemented changes to insure our guest will not have the experience you had. There may have been a lapse in communication in regards to the gym. We are affiliated with Derek Jeters gym "Fitness 24" and... More

My best friend and I travelled to New York City this past Friday, and got stuck in the city due to Hurricane Sandy. We stayed at the Flatiron hotel for Sunday-Wednesday of the hurricane. This hotel exceeded our expectations by far, and made what was a pretty heinous experience bearable. I have never been more pleased with my stay at... More

Hurricane Sandy took us all by surprise! We made it a point to keep a good number of our staff member on property for the simple reason that we wanted to make our guests as comfortable as possible during this trying time. Thank you for acknowledging the staff at the Flatiron Hotel and we will continue to deliver the best... More

I have stayed at this hotel a few times during business trips to NYC. The front desk staff, especially Jason, are ALWAYS helpful, friendly and accomdating. The bar and restaurant has great food and some of the best entertainment in NYC. Toshi and Ponzu, owner and his 4 legged partner, is extremely friendly and his number #1 priority is making... More

Needed a hotel in the Flatiron district that was near a work event and scored a great rate via Hotwire at the last minute. Very skeptical at first because it seemed too good to be true...but pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a decent place. Beds very comfortable, bathroom clean and modern (but TINY), friendly staff. Only two... More

I got this hotel on Hotwire for 3 nights at $189/night so I can't really complain, however, it should really be considered a 3.5 star hotel. I booked on hotwire for 2 people. They gave me a full sized bed (I'm 6'4"). I complained, they moved me to a king bed. At check in, there was no bell hop to... More

We stayed for two nights, four friends. We had a very decent room, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, with all the standard amenities plus a waterproof t.v. We found that this hotel is very close to some important must go spots, and the service is very good and quick. I reserved this hotel for me, but because... More

We stayed one recent Friday night at The Flatiron and would recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again ourselves. The location is great on 26th Street, just off of Fifth - a short walk to Eataly, Madison Park w/Shake Shack, Flatiron Building, Union Square Farmer's Market and walk down Fifth to Greenwich Village, Soho, etc. The front... This was a great hotel. Location: only 2 blocks from Gramercy Square. Hence the name, as the Flatiron building is on the square. It was great to check out Mario Batali's italian market and cluster of mini restaurants, named Eatery. Eatery is also located on Gramercy square. (I will give a separate, more detailed review on this.) If you are... More

Dear rosaritobeach, Thank you for sharing your experiences at our hotel. Many hotels in New York have a great location, well-appointed rooms, service-centric staff and a good value. We feel the Flatiron is one of only a handful that can boost all four! Your experiences echo many others and it is gratify to read. Best regards, Lance Herman General Manager More
